Aug. 16th, 2007 08:43 pmThis week's
thefridayfive has a Back to School flavor to it. I haven't been to school in eons.
1. Who was your favorite teacher? I've adored many teachers over the years. My sixth grade one was probably the best, since that's the year I enjoyed the most. The bad thing is... I can't remember her name! Mrs. Eckston? Something like that. Anyway she's probably dead by now. How depressing.
2. Why was that teacher so special? She loved me and K. She was highly amused by our silliness, which of course just served to egg us on. I just loved being in her class. That was the year I started coming out of my shell a bit and finding some fellow nerd friends to bond with.
3. Do you think teachers get paid enough? No. Not nearly enough. But I might be biased because I have friends who are teachers now, and I know the hell they go through. There's no way I should make more money than them shuffling papers around all day. (at least, to start - I'm sure they'd pass me eventually)
4. Do you have a favorite year of school? Sixth grade, as mentioned above, or possibly senior year of high school. I can't decide between those two.
5. If you could travel back in time and tell yourself something now that would have helped you get through school, what would you say? Heh. Dunno. Whatever I said wouldn't have made a difference, because I'm sure I was too set in my ways to have my self-esteem boosted by a "stranger"'s attention for a few minutes or whatever. I'd need to think on this a while before approaching my young self.

Blood donation tomorrow. I haven't given in sooooooooo long. They better take me this time. I've been eating spinach and shrimp all week, dangit.
Also, blueberries'n'cream frappuccinos are love.
