If anyone wonders how Jeremy's visit went... in a word, it was AWESOME. The only problem is now I miss him like crazy. Sigh.

Here, have some memes! It's been a while!

This week's [livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive is about goals:

1. We are a third of the way through this year. How are those New Years Resolutions coming along? I didn't really make any, but the only goal I had at the beginning of the year was completely shot by the end of the first month. Thanks, Jeremy!

2. Have your goals for the year changed? YES.

3. When working on personal achievements, do you do better when left alone, or do you need a support network of friends/family? I feel like I'm supposed to say I need a support network, but... hmm. I tend to keep things to myself to avoid public failure; I flog myself for failure more than anyone else probably would anyway. Having people nag or judge me doesn't tend to motivate me.

4. Who is your best personal airbag? Me, myself, and I!

5. What song or quote do you think best describes you right now? I will let the next meme decide that:

Music meme stolen from [livejournal.com profile] ladyhadhafang, who posted it nearly a month ago... yup, that's how I roll, very sloooooooooowly. I love music memes, especially now that I have an awesome iTunes collection again :D

According to my shuffle...

...hey, some of these almost make sense... )

Out of the hundreds of artists available to shuffle amongst, I find it odd that there are two repeats up there. That's happened previously when I've shuffled, too. What gives, iTunes?

Randomness

I missed the Arcade Fire concert this week because I was my brother's Plan B, and Plan A did not flake out. Bummer! But since he hasn't even let me borrow their new CD yet I don't know their new stuff. Shoulda opened/uploaded it before I gave it to him for Christmas.

In other news... I got routine service done on my A/C because it's That Time of Year, and I was informed I have hail damage from the storm we had here last October 5th. I should have gotten it checked out sooner, really, but I'm of the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" ilk plus I'm lazy... now I'll probably get a whole new one! THAT WOULD KICK ASS. THANK YOU, STORM.

And I finally got a Sims 2 Bon Voyage that freaking works. HALLELUJAH!

I like today's [livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive because it doesn't require a lot of thought :D Always a good thing when one is tired/PMSy/irritable.

1. The 30th song in your playlist: "How We Operate" by Gomez, on my laptop media player that I never use. I'd refer to my iPod but it's still borked and I'm not firing up the slow-ass computer just to look in iTunes.

2. A city that starts with C in your state/province/etc: Cottonwood

3. Your boss' (or favorite teacher's) name: Mabel

4. The second book on your bookshelf: Depends on which level of which bookcase! Four levels, two don't have "booky" books though... so it's either Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince or Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales.

5. Your 7th LJ friend: I'm going to assume this means alphabetically, because chronologically I have no clue beyond my first 2 LJ friends! Seventh would be [livejournal.com profile] ascendingflame, who doesn't seem to use LJ much anymore. I miss her updates!

This week's [livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive is about newspapers. How could I resist? I love newspapers! And they're more obsolete every day :(

1. What is your favorite section of the newspaper?
Living!

2. Sunday comics or weekday strips? Which comic is your favorite?
Sundays because that includes Foxtrot (my fave).

3. Do you read your daily horoscope? Do you believe in it?
I read it faithfully every day even though I think it's hogwash. I believe there may be SOMEthing to astrology (I identify with my Pisces sign... but, hmm, maybe it's a self-fulfilling prophecy type thing there? I know how I'm supposed to be and therefore I am? ...except for the water part. I'm not much of a fish) but not the daily stuff. My mom and I are both Pisces, does that mean we should have the same type of day every day??

4. Does the paper become bird cage lining, do you recycle, or does it get thrown in the trash?
I recycle it on weekends, after saving various sections for people. At work I leave it in the kitchen for all to enjoy and it wanders off with people. I think very little of it gets thrown away.

5. Where do you read the paper? At home, at work, or elsewhere? On the weekends I curl up on the couch with kitties and coffee and enjoy it... am about to go do that now. During the week I read it at work before I start working (I go in early partly for this reason) and drink the free coffee there.

~

In other news, it rained last weekend... then was sunny all week... now that it's the weekend again and I have a chance to do yardwork (eww), guess what - it's gonna rain again! Poor [livejournal.com profile] wenchcat at Faire in the mud! But I'm not complaining. Any excuse to put off yardwork is a good one. I'd rather change 10 litterboxes than deal with weeds and mowing the lawn. I'm annoyed because I faithfully put down some weed'n'feed a month ago and I still have weeds. I guess just not as many as I would have had?

Here, have a pic from last weekend:

Rainbowwwww )

In other other news... I've concluded that there is something about me that appeals to guys at first but then morphs into something unlovable. IDK. It's not just "men are scum" because it's ME -- I am the common denominator here. And most people I know are married or HAVE been married. Marriage is just a completely foreign concept to me at this point. The bio clock isn't ticking quite as loudly as it was a couple months ago, but I think that's mostly because I self-medicate with Sims2.

This week's [livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive is about Disney, yay:

1. Have you ever dressed up as a Disney character? Yeah! [livejournal.com profile] wenchcat made me a Wendy costume!

2. What was your favorite Disney movie growing up? Growing up? I honestly don't remember. Maybe "Cinderella." But for nearly 20 years now it's been "Beauty and the Beast."

3. Which Disney character can you relate to the most? I'll say Belle, because of her bookwormy nature, and for everyone thinking she's odd because she doesn't follow their rules. She's definitely more adventuresome than I am, though.

4. Have you ever been to a Disney theme park? Disneyland, a handful of times. Haven't been since 2000, though.

5. When does someone become "too old" for Disney? Never!!! (come on, is there any other way to answer this question?)

Ze Friday 5

Aug. 7th, 2009 06:11 pm
I haven't done [livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive in a while:

1. What is your morning routine?
Wake up to the current Star Wars CD in the rotation. Pull on glasses, fire up laptop (yes I sleep with it). Roll over and check email/f-list(s) if there's time. Remove splint. Pee. Check for outside kitties. Feed kitties. Bathe/dress/primp/contact lenses for work.

2. What is your nightly routine?
I need one, actually. I don't do stuff in the same order and sometimes put things off (for reasons besides laziness -- okay this might be a summer problem as it involves going out in the heat) until I'm too tired to care to do them... it takes me too long to do everything, especially if I'm distracted by AIM. Would like to stick to "off the interwebz before 10:00" plan too.

3. Do you like to listen to the radio when you sleep or have it quiet?
Quiet. Or listen to something [livejournal.com profile] gizzi1213 sent me.

4. What do you like to sleep in?
Comfy things, even if I'm too fat for some of them >.> Who cares.

5. What is the first thing you think about when you wake up in the morning?
I wonder if [livejournal.com profile] ansketil_rose posted that porn I wonder how many comment notifications I have.

*yawn* Naptiems nau.
Blood donation day! My stats, assuming I'm remembering them correctly (not sure about the BP):
Weight: whoops, forgot to weigh myself. Again
Pulse: 77
BP: 110 over 60 -- much higher than it usually is
Temp: 99.5. High! the guy said it was because of the sun blasting on the window there.
Hemoglobin: 11.5 on the first stick, 12.6 on the second. The second stick was fun, the blood was gushing out like crazy. The guy tried to make it squirt but it wouldn't. LOL

I got dizzy again. Should have eaten more than just Dunkin Donuts for breakfast! I could feel it coming on though so I didn't pass out, just needed a cold cloth and water and feet elevated. I'm home now so I can just chill all evening.

~

This week's [livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive is about phones:

1. Could you live without your phone for 1 week for $500? HA!!! I'd do it for free!

2. Whom do you talk to on the phone the most? Aaron/[livejournal.com profile] aaronisthebest. (I don't know why I keep linking his LJ, he never ever logs into it, the bum)

3. Whom do you no longer talk to on the phone but wish you still did? Um... there are some people I miss seeing in person but I don't really miss the phone. (yes, I know I didn't exactly answer the question. Deal!)

4. If you could get ahold of one celebrity phone number, whose digits would you want? Duh! Oh wait, I better answer that, in case someone reads this not from my f-list :) Hayden Christensen.

5. Do you talk on the phone more or less than you used to? As compared to when? I talked on the phone a lot as a teenager. No internet back then! I remember it was a Big Deal getting a phone in my room. I loved the phone back then.
I haven't done [livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive in ages! I like this one okay so here goes:

When did you last...
1. scrounge for change (couch, ashtray, etc.) to make a purchase?

Um... never? I try to keep my change centrally located.

2. visit a dentist?
Last week :)

3. make a needed change to your life?
This one's hard. I skipped it and came back and still can't pinpoint the last time. "Needed change" sounds so major. I'll say 4-5 months ago.

4. decide on a complete menu well in advance of the evening meal?
I do this regularly >.> Of course, my meals are not exactly gourmet.

5. spend part of the day (other than daily hygiene) totally/mostly naked?
A month or so ago maybe? Some weekend day when I didn't leave the house. I like being naked or nearly-naked when it's hot :)
This week's [livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive is about hair:

1. What type of hair do you have? (Thin, Normal, Thick, Frizzy, etc.) FRIZZY. At least, it would be if I didn’t glop so much gel on it.

2. What color is your hair currently? It's a reddish-brown auburny color that I like.

3. What colors have you dyed/highlighted your hair? Various shades of red, mostly. I did blonde highlights once but it doesn’t look natural like the red.

4. If you could dye your hair any color, what would it be? Red! I wouldn't go wild with it.

5. What is your hair's length? [sic] Depends on how curly it comes out that day. It’s around shoulder-length, but looks shorter when curlier. It makes people ask me if I cut it quite a bit more often than I actually DO cut it.

Meme dump!

Jul. 18th, 2008 10:24 am
Yeah, so, I was bad and snagged some stuff to fill out in Word to copy/paste here at work real quick. The girls aren't working very hard today so I don't feel TOO bad about it. It IS Friday, after all!

First, a survey from [livejournal.com profile] drusilla_malfoy:Random )

Next, you get two [livejournal.com profile] thefridayfives for the price of one. I never did last week's!

The Friday Ten )

And, yoinked from [livejournal.com profile] jellybellys. The version I last tried to do ended up being... well, unpostable. Re-doing now with 75% less wangst!

The passive aggressive meme )

~

And now I ponder a minor moral dilemma before lunchtime.
This week's [livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive is about... drinks with zip!

1. What drink wakes you up best in the morning? COFFEE. Like whoa.

2. During the day, what do you drink to keep going? More coffee or a soda, but I don't actually drink a lot during the day.

3. Do you drink the recommended 8 glasses of water per day? Why/why not? Oh hell no. I don't like going to the bathroom every 15 minutes! I only want water when I'm really thirsty. I think I posted about this in my journal a while back about how the "8 glasses per day" is misleading, because the water that's in food counts towards your daily recommended amount. I was like NEENER NEENER to that. I don't think I know anyone who drinks that much. My brother drinks a lot of it, but even so, it's maybe like equivalent to 4 glasses?

4. What are the ingredients of your favorite mixed drink? (Doesn't have to be alcoholic!) Kahlua + vodka + milk. Mmmmmmmmm. The butterbeer I'm drinking right now is pretty good, though. (buttershots + frangelico + cream soda)

5. Are you a coffee drinker? How do you take your coffee, if so? *points to question #1* I can't drink it black, I have to put some crap in it, but I'm not very particular about what it is. At work, my first cup will have liquid creamer + sweetener, and if I go for a second or third cup, it/they will have powdered creamer + sugar. I'm not quite sure why I do this. At home, I have either powdered or liquid creamer, whatever I happen to have on hand. And I love Splenda but sugar is cheaper so I switched back to sugar. I guess if I ever start this diet I keep talking about, I should change that. Heh. I also like milk or honey in it.

And Starbucks, of course, is a treat. The frappuccinos are a REAL treat in the summer! Mmmmmmmmmm.

~

Okay, that was more than anyone wanted to know about my coffee habits.

I think I'll keep doing the R.E.M. titles only until I run out of the ones I've already compiled.

Let's see, can I babble about anything else no one cares about?

Why did I delete my Hayden coffee icon? *pout*

Okay, I'll shut up now. One of these days I'll do a meaty, content-y post.
This week's [livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive is about money, and it's a set I suggested like... eons ago. I guess they really DO look through old ones sometimes. Cool, eh?

1. Did you get an allowance as a kid, and if so, how much was it? My first one was 25 cents a week. LOL It kept going up to... I think $5 or $10 max? I don't remember when it stopped, maybe when I started babysitting all the time for money.

2. How old were you when you had your first job, and what was it? I started babysitting at 12, but my first "paycheck" job I was 16, I think, maybe 15? working at a little restaurant. I SUCKED at that job, I was too immature for it, really.

3. Which do you do better: save money or spend money? Lately, spend money. I go through my frugal phases, though.

4. Are people more likely to borrow money from you, or are you more likely to borrow from them? I am the Bank of Wendy. Come on in.

5. What's the most expensive thing you've ever bought? Definitely my house. As for the most expensive thing that's paid off -- my car.
I was going to post about my evening but now I'm just not in the mood. I'm tired and cranky and annoyed that PEOPLE ARE ASSHATS (no, not you guys... unless you are and I'm unaware!).

I'm going to bed so I can get up with the sun and attack my ugly yard, which desperately needs my attention at this point.

But here's a [livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive, I haven't done one in a while...

1. If you had to participate in one Olympic event, what would it be and why?
Ha! Me + physical things do not mix. I guess... ice-skating. I've never done it (I'm a HORRIBLE rollerblader, though) and I would probably get famous as the girl who embarrassed herself on international TV!

2. what is the one song you always sing along to?
There is no one song. I don't sing at work no matter what comes on my iPod! In the car I sing to lotsa things.

3. Do you wear a seatbelt in the car?
...not usually. Only when I'm with someone. I NEED YOU GUYS TO YELL AT ME. Because it's a completely dumb reason and I know I should wear it but I just don't.

4. Car, suv or truck and why?
Car - even before the gas prices spiraled out of control! The smaller the better. Some people feel safer in big cars but not me; there's more to hit!

5. Are you a good/bad driver? Explain
I'm neither - I'm somewhere in the middle. I make my share of mistakes. But I don't blatantly break laws and I don't speed as much as I did in my youth.
I tried to donate blood to [livejournal.com profile] azurien's vampires again today, but again they didn't want it! And I didn't even get my little mini physical out of it. Lesson learned: next time do not joke about how often I get rejected and thus make them do the iron test first to avoid the "hassle" of checking everything else. Hehe. My blood was all eager to come out too, when they did the prick thing (twice!). They say I'm a fast bleeder.

I did weigh myself, though. Why did I type "more than last time" as my weight last time? I wanna know what I was. Phooey.

So, my limited stats:

Hemoglobin: 11.3 (minimum is 12.5)
Weight: 144
My BMI is 22.something (checked that from reading my company's newsletter. Less than 25 is good, so I guess I'm not technically fat, I just FEEL fat)
If you wanna know my bra size, just ask Nam!

This week's [livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive is about... stuff.

1. If you knew that you had only one day left to live, what would you do for the 24 hours?
I'd probably spend all of it crying, but if I could get past that I'd have to post in my various LJs to say goodbye. I'd go eat at Claim Jumper with my family and any friends who could make it. I'd make as many arrangements as I could have time to make, probably laying most of that on my brother and Aaron so between the two of them nothing would get neglected/forgotten. I'd wonder when I was going to wake up from this horrible nightmare. And hopefully I'd come to accept it towards the end and I could control when it happens, so I could go to some really nice hotel and be comfortable and then no one would have to deal with the pain/awkwardness of me dying in the house.

2. Do you think that life has meaning?
For some.

3. What was your favourite childhood toy/object, or some of your favourites?
When I was really wee I had this pink plastic car with yellow wheels. I lugged that thing around with me everywhere and I slept with it at night. It was like my security blanket. But then according to my mom, one day we were down at the shore, I was playing in the sand, and a wheel came off of it. Suddenly the car was dead, I buried it in the sand and didn't care about it anymore. !!! Wtf? I don't remember that, it sounds quite "out of character" for me. After that I'd say it was various action figures (including the Bossk one in my icon! My brother and I luuuuuuurved our Bosskies) and these seal/sea lion plushes that we gave different personalities to and played with All.The.Time.

4. When you clasp your hands, do you put your right thumb over your left thumb, or your left thumb over your right thumb?
Right over left. What a random question!

5. If you had to teach the most ignorant person on earth the most difficult thing you have ever learned, how would you go about doing it?
The most difficult? Calculus. Only I quite failed at it so I guess that doesn't count as learning it - and I sure as hell don't remember any of it now. I suppose the most difficult LIFE lesson is something along the lines of "time passes/things change" but I have no idea how to teach someone else that they're stronger than they think they are, and that time is the best healer.
[livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive is early, yay:

1. What's one of the nicest things a friend has ever done for you?
Helped me move. Multiple times. That is NICE.

2. What's one of the nicest things a stranger has ever done for you?
Carrying my new TV up to my 2nd-story apartment for me, because I thought I could lift it but couldn't so I was stuck on the grass trying not to cry and racking my brain for a solution. I couldn't even drag it in the box over to the stairwell. I scratched up the side of it. Eight years ago and I still remember my hero! That guy was awesome. I never saw him before and I never saw him again. Aww. Wonder if his ears are ringing now.

3. What is a trait in another person that you instantly admire, and that draws you to them?
Cheerfulness or friendliness.

4. What is a trait in another person that instantly repels you, and prevents you from forming a close relationship with them?
One-up-man-ship. Or whatever it's called!

5. Time to vent: tell us about something rotten someone has done to you.
This one's stumping me, since I can't answer for my brother. Heh. "Rotten" should be something truly horrible - and it's been a while. There's The Thing I Don't Talk About, but I still don't want to talk about it (I'm over it anyway, I just don't talk about it cuz my own stupidity is too embarrassing). Other than that, there's some ancient history but why vent about that? I fail at venting! If I think of something recent I'll edit it in here.
This week's [livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive is... random again, I guess.

1. What's harder to live without, chocolate or alchohol?
Oh man. That's tough. Chocolate, I suppose.

2. Does the colour yellow remind you of anything?
Anakin's starfighter. ^_^

3. Who most annoyed you last week?
I can't think of anyone who annoyed me. Sorry.

4. Do you have a cutesy romantic nickname for your partner (or previous partners)?
Oooo almost a N/A until they threw in the parentheses! Mostly "sweetie."

5. What is your favourite Stephen King movie?
I haven't seen that many. Cujo (sp?) was Stephen King, though, right? That's the first scary movie I remember watching when I was young that FREAKED THE CRAP out of me. I bet it wouldn't faze me now if I saw it again, though.

~

Back to work now. If I work my ass off today maybe I won't feel like I NEED to come in tomorrow. I WAS caught up on my f-list but I see some of you have written long entries that need to wait until I get home! Sorry!

>.>

Apr. 18th, 2008 08:16 am
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Mine is an evil laugh!

ETA: Okay, some content. A [livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive that I shall answer lamely - you're supposed to say WHY you chose what you did:

1. Love at First Sight: Fact or Fiction? Fiction. LUST at first sight is entirely possible, though.

2. Fortune Telling: Fact or Fiction? Fiction. Fortune tellers are just good at reading people.

3. Other Life: Fact or Fiction? Fiction for now, but I believe someday it will be proven a Fact. It's a big universe!

4. Afterlife: Fact or Fiction? Fact. Though I'm not quite certain what I believe it to be.

5. Bigfoot: Fact or Fiction? Fact. Just... cuz.
This week's [livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive is about ch-ch-changes:

1. If you had the ability to legally change your name, would you? To what?
Nah, I like my first name now. In middle school I wanted to change the spelling to "Wendi" so I could put a little ♥ over the "i." But I'm glad I didn't. For my last name... Mondragon. That's my favorite last name ever and I don't really have a good reason for it, I just like how it sounds. But what do you mean "if"? I can change it if I want to. But why go through all that legal hassle?

2. What do you do with change that you receive from banks/purchases/find on the ground?
Put it in my purse. Spend it. If there gets to be too much I dump some out on the counter at home.

3. If you could travel back in time to change the course of one historical event, what event would it be?
Them's murky waters... as others have said, ripple effects and all. Also, if I somehow prevented a war from happening, who's to say it wouldn't happen 20 years later or so anyway? History repeats itself. I'd kind of like to save Jack the people on the Titanic, but that tragedy taught the world a lesson, as tragedies often do.

4. Would you rather live a safe, stable, moderately interesting life or one where every day was dangerous, volatile, and different?
Definitely safe and boring.

5. What do you think you'll be remembered for when you die and, if you could, would you change it to something else?
I won't be remembered at all. That's the sad thing about not having children. I've been thinking about death lately (two coworkers are currently out for deaths in the family, one expected and one not)... what will become of my crap after me and my brother are both gone? I imagine my paper journals will get tossed. I mean, who else would care to read all that crap about someone they don't even know? It's sad to think that our family line dies with us. Hopefully my brother will have kids someday!

Or maybe I'll be remembered for the paintings I sold. There are only three, and two were to the same person. But both of them were older than me, would they pass those down to their families, who won't even know me and may not care to keep them, and end up garage-sale-ing them or something. Weird to think of those "living" on after I'm gone. Like my LJ will!
This week's [livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive:

1. What do you see when you are looking out of the window closest to you? Ha ha, there's no window in my office so I had to get up and look. It's sunny and bright outside, and the parking lot is quiet.

2. Who was the last person coming into your room? Huh? Am I a teenager? I don't have a room, I have many rooms. Okay, but I'm at work now, and... hmm, no one's come in here but me today so far. I don't remember who last came in here yesterday. I fail at this question.

3. What is the most predominant colour around you? Beige.

4. What is right behind you? My Star Wars calendar! March is bounty hunter month. Oh, there's also a trash can, a couple boxes, a rack with folders in it, and an adorable plush flower coiled around said rack.

5. What is on today's calendar sheet? I don't have a desk calendar, if that's what you mean. As for what's on my agenda today... less slacking than the past few days. >.> Maybe. Except it's Friday, and it's nowhere near crunch time yet, so I might put some things off 'til next week. We'll see how into it I get.

~

Yay Amazon goodies!

I haven't taken a bubble bath since I finished reading Into The Wild. For shame! I want to take more even though they're a terrible waste of precious water. I can't decide which book to be the one I read while I'm gettin' all happy and wrinkly. Please vote! Even if your choice is random! Whichever's in the lead by tomorrow night will be my book. Yes, you really can have a profound impact on my life, oh f-list! (I also got Jedi Vs. Sith yesterday, but that one's not going near the bathtub. TOO PRETTEH.)

[Poll #1154148]

POLL CLOSED!
(You can still vote, but it won't matter, because I've started reading The Picture of Dorian Gray. And I'm quite enjoying it so far!
This week's [livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive is about LJ:

1. How long ago did you join LJ? A little over 3 years ago - November 2004.

2. How did you find out about LJ? I'd been reading my friend Z/[livejournal.com profile] havergal13's LJ for like a year or so before. One day I just decided to browse around the site and I thought, hey, I should do this too.

3. If someone introduced you to LJ, is s/he still on your friends list? Yes! He doesn't post so much these days but he's there.

4. Have you introduced anyone to LJ? Yup, Aaron/[livejournal.com profile] aaronisthebest. Who also doesn't post much these days. *shakes fist* He still likes MySpace better though. Ewwwwwwwww MySpace. Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] sleuthgirl27 - we made a deal where I would play the Sims if she would keep an LJ. We both failed >.> I miss her! I have no idea where she is cuz she no longer works for my company (she's in Kentucky but we worked for the same employer). T_T I have an old cell phone # but I'd feel too weird just randomly calling it.

5. Is your LJ public or friends only, and why? It's public for the most part. I have to keep it that way so my brother can read it because he refuses to make one. Even though I told him it's not like he has to POST with it, he could just log in to read mine! But no, he refuses. He'll make a MySpace but not a LJ! Anyway, I do have a few filters I use every once in a while, and I tend to lock the dorky voiceposts now because my brother doesn't need to hear my voice, he hears it all the time. Ha ha. But I'm not paranoid about undesirables finding me on here or anything. I'm an open book!

I'm definitely making a to-do list for the weekend, but I'll be a dork and save that for tomorrow so I can post on 2/29. Yes, I'm strange. I could just post something else tomorrow but nah... once I post a to-do list I tend to try not to post after it 'til I've made good headway on it. (Again, I'm strange.)
This week's [livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive is to name five...

1)... things you can't live without.
Hmm. I think I'll be snarky on this one: food, water, sleep, oxygen, and... um... the internet!

2)... of the best moments in your life.
That's too hard. At least it says "of the" best, so I won't get mad at myself if I remember something "better" later. I'll go with Christmas morning as a kid (just pick one, they were all good when I was little), first kiss (with various people... I'm only going to count it once), getting proposed to (but thank God we never actually got married), the moment I discovered Radiohead (June 1995), and pretty much the whole night of my high school graduation (no sleep! God I can't do that anymore).

3)... celebrities you can't stand.
I'm weird, I know, but I really can't think of anyone. OH! Does Derek Jeter count? That's one.

4)... books you enjoy(ed) reading.
Into the Wild, Gone With the Wind, Revenge of the Sith, Harry Potter (x 7!), She's Come Undone.

5)... items in your purse/backpack/on your desk.
I'll look for the more interesting stuff on my desk: a Hello kitty pocket mirror, a honey lemon iced tea lip balm, a teensy weensy mug with my name on it, a ginormous "Crazy Cat Lady" coffee mug that is actually too ginormous to use so it just houses my preferred mug, and leather dice with words on them instead of numbers.

~

Yay I get to go home in an hour! *happy dance*
Also, I'm no longer PMSing. You know what that means. But it's okay cuz I don't have to go anywhere tonight and can just be a lazy bum! I'm pretty jittery right now thanks to all the sugar and caffeine I had this morning. But I'm assuming I'll feel lazy later.
