(no subject)

My brother's house got robbed again. Why they go to his house instead of mine, when I have more shit for them to steal... ugh, it's so unfair. Not that I WANT to get robbed but I HATE that he was. The jerks must know that he works at night.

I should go over there more and turn the TV on for a while and stuff. Maybe that would deter them.

Though they'll probably wait another year so he can replace his electronics. At least the PS2 was at MY house this time.

I couldn't fall asleep last night, and I woke up early today. I don't think it's related but... if only I could have heard something the other night! (They broke a side window to get in) I could have run over there and scared off the punks!

My dad lectured me about leaving the patio door open. The screen door to the Arizona room is locked, but that door's flimsy and I'm sure it would be quite easy to break it. Heck, Anakin's busted out of it before when it was locked. But if someone comes in that way, and they open the sliding door, my alarm will go off. If they open or remove the window, the alarm will go off, but if they break it in such a way that it doesn't disturb the little mechanism on it, it won't trigger the alarm - so I think I'd RATHER have them come in the back door!

Man, the work day looms ahead so much longer with no internet to break it up :(

1. What's one of the nicest things a friend has ever done for you?
Helped me move. Multiple times. That is NICE.

2. What's one of the nicest things a stranger has ever done for you?
Carrying my new TV up to my 2nd-story apartment for me, because I thought I could lift it but couldn't so I was stuck on the grass trying not to cry and racking my brain for a solution. I couldn't even drag it in the box over to the stairwell. I scratched up the side of it. Eight years ago and I still remember my hero! That guy was awesome. I never saw him before and I never saw him again. Aww. Wonder if his ears are ringing now.

3. What is a trait in another person that you instantly admire, and that draws you to them?
Cheerfulness or friendliness.

4. What is a trait in another person that instantly repels you, and prevents you from forming a close relationship with them?
One-up-man-ship. Or whatever it's called!

5. Time to vent: tell us about something rotten someone has done to you.
This one's stumping me, since I can't answer for my brother. Heh. "Rotten" should be something truly horrible - and it's been a while. There's The Thing I Don't Talk About, but I still don't want to talk about it (I'm over it anyway, I just don't talk about it cuz my own stupidity is too embarrassing). Other than that, there's some ancient history but why vent about that? I fail at venting! If I think of something recent I'll edit it in here.
