"No."
...Yeah, you didn't really think that would fly with him. "Okay, but it would be really dumb to leave this awesome shelter and go back out in the downpour when we might not even have to, right?"
Joel mutters something to himself, then sighs. "I can't argue with that. I'll look, you wait here."
"I'll wait by the door, then." You'd like to at least be able to watch him from the doorway. "With the door open."
"That's fine. Be ready." He turns the corner carefully (gun drawn), then enters the building, shining his light all around before proceeding.
You hover there by the door, holding your gun lazily at your side; you really think you ought to be able to follow Joel inside when he does these little 'walk-throughs,' but he thinks differently. You have to admit, if he does run into someone unfriendly in there, you would most likely be of better use to him if you're not in the exact same spot he is.
But then-- shit! --
The corner of your eye catches something coming your way -- from the other side of the house -- outside! You see a flash of metal -- a gun! It must be!
It's all so fast--
