That is one of four fragrances of candles I picked up at Angel's candle party last night, and the one I'm burning at the moment. Yum! I had fun there - smelling candles is always fun (if you're female), and she had wonderful food there (of course, because she's Angel) and I got to see her little boy who is now 10 months old and I haven't seen him since he was.... 5 months, maybe?

I was the only non-mother there - which is not that uncommon for me now, at this "old age." But it didn't bother me like it has in the past. I didn't feel like the other girls were sizing me up and thinking, "What a loser, I wonder why SHE doesn't have a baby?" as I have in the past. I also didn't feel any pangs of maternal-ness, as I sometimes do in such situations where babies are present... even when I got home. I did what I had said I was going to do - I lit up a new candle (orange vanilla) and hopped in a hot bubble bath. How many of them got to do that? I bet not a one. I'm not saying that having a kid is not worth giving up frequent bubble baths - that's silly. But I'm enjoying the things that God gives me to enjoy, being a single woman.

Oh, and I no longer feel that Aaron and I may break up before Valentine's Day. I even bought him a present yesterday while I was out shopping - not a real Valentine-y kind of present, but something I know he'd like. Even though we're not "really" celebrating and I'm not even sure he'll be able to come down here next weekend (he does have a show in Hollywood on Sat. the 12th). I don't care, we'll see each other eventually, it doesn't have to be on THE DAY. We still have to talk about some stuff, but we had a great talk yesterday and he even patiently listened while I told him about the candle party, which I know he couldn't care less about. Awwww.

Now I'm off to get ready to spend the afternoon at the Parental Units' - to write up Avon slips during the big game and look up for commercials. If I finish early I'll have my Gameboy too. No one else even plans to watch the game - heck, the commercials are pretty tame this year too, from what I've heard. We'll see if that means they suck. Isn't it funny that last year, the guys didn't want to watch the half-time show because there was some show on with supermodels on it or something.... so we all missed the famous wardrobe malfunction. Ha! That'll teach them to switch over to clothed (even if barely) models.

Happy SuperBowl Sunday, all....

I missed the famous wardrobe malfunction too, although I forget why, since I was watching the game. Most likely I wasn't interested in the halftime show and I went to do some chore. Can't remember that ancient history now.

Ancient history? You, Miss History Buff, should not consider this ancient, methinks. It's quite recent. ...ish. (okay so I barely remember that day now too!)

Heh! The ONLY reason I remember who won the Super Bowl THIS YEAR is because it was SUCH FUN having the NEW YORK GIANTS shoving the Pats "perfect record" up their collective asses!!!

Yeah, I tend to forget that like 2 weeks after. I don't think I would have remembered now if you hadn't just said it! (no football icon, sorry)
