Babysitting

lumy12I now have a sweet picture hanging on my fridge from a nice little girl - she drew it for me, she wrote my name out all artsy-like and colored it in real nice.... awww. Children's art is so wonderful.
My friend (the one I brought Jack in the Box to last night) has something to go to Saturday evening with her son, and she asked her step-daughter (the above-mentioned little girl, Tammy) to find out for sure when her friend's sleep-over was because if it wasn't this Saturday she'd have to get a sitter for her. Tammy scrunched up her face like that's the worst thing in the world. She's 11, so she's at that age where she would be okay staying by herself for a while, but I think my friend worries because they don't live in the greatest neighborhood and I guess she's never been left completely alone before. When it was confirmed that the sleepover was NEXT weekend, Trish asked me if I wouldn't mind staying with Tammy for a little while. And Tammy's face lit up - "Oh, I don't mind a babysitter then!" Awww! So of course I don't mind, I actually wasn't doing anything this weekend except my own stuff at home.
I haven't been a babysitter in almost 10 years. I must be getting younger!
