Just finished my second bowl of chocolate Lucky Charms. I didn't know they made them in chocolate - good stuff. I must consume them quickly so I can resume the diet. I did not BUY them, they were a GIFT, you see.

A. asked why I'm still even attempting to diet. He sees me cheat all the time. I am of the "never stop starting" philosophy - I mean, who knows, if I always eat whatever I want, I would most likely be a lot larger than I am now. "I don't care how much you weigh," he says. I appreciate that - but *I* care! I care that I can't fit into all my clothes and don't even have child-bearing as an excuse.

Today we are taking a day trip to Tucson, to watch a Dbacks spring training game courtesy of A.'s extremely rich friend. I am to wake A. up in 10 minutes. Had to mapquest directions to Hi Corbett Field (have only been to Tucson Electric Park, and haven't been there in 3 years so it's not like I'd even remember where THAT is, being directionally-challenged) so I thought I'd post in the journal for a minute.

My birthday was uneventful. A. was in Tucson for March Madness (yes, he's insane, he's making 3 day-trips out of what could have been a 3-day stay in Tucson, with me joining him for today) and didn't get home 'til the middle of the night some time. I was cat-sitting for K, which I thought would be a good time to catch up on my dvd-watching (have to keep the cat company, she gets lonely!) - except that they had their TV serviced right after they left, and apparently didn't realize that the TV repair guys wouldn't plug everything back in. I tried, I really did, but a) the TV is huge and I can't lift it back into the entertainment center, where it needs to be for all those cords to reach it b) it appears to be an empty shell back there, with holes but nothing for the stuff to plug into???? c) I am also electronically-challenged, so I couldn't figure it out anyway. So I'm re-thinking my cat-sitting strategy - will plan on reading with the cat, perhaps out loud at times, instead of giving her the comfortable familiar TV sounds as companionship.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

I didn't know you are directionally challenged! So is my mom. When giving directions NEVER EVER answer a question with "I want to go left" with the response, "That's right," as I once made the mistake of doing. I've learned the simplest thing is to just point!

Yeah, I can follow directions just fine - but if I miss a turn or something I get all turned around and confused...it's pretty sad. I have to think hard about what direction north is no matter where I am. (yes even at home!)

I've always had a very good sense of direction. Drives my mother batty. If we do get lost when I'm driving, I can usually find my way back the right way because "This way feels right" or "That way feels wrong." She HATES that, she always wants to STOP and ASK someone! Snort...I'm very MALE when it comes to NOT asking for directions!

Ha! I'm pretty much the opposite - if I feel that we should go one way, there's a pretty good chance that the OTHER way is the correct one. Works out pretty well if I go by that!

Remind me to never put you and my mother together in the same car!
