(I looove Princess Bride, just got the special edition dvd!)
For those of you who find reading my journal to be a tedious, I-only-do-it-cuz-I-feel-obligated-to chore, you'll be happy to know I won't be updating it for probably about a week. Heck, you guys don't even read it, do ya? You will, someday when something truly exciting happens and I send out an email directing you here.
Computers are my friends again. I got a nice new hp pavilion intel celeron D pentium 4 computer (I probably butchered that description but you get the idea) with more memory than I'll ever need and twice as much RAM as I had before. I won't have time to play with it for a couple weeks though, unfortunately. I still have to retrieve some stuff off my old one (guess I'm not as good at backing stuff up as I thought), and then I believe I'll be donating it to a needy friend. I'd rather do that than try to sell it to a stranger. As for Windows XP, I thought I could sell that on eBay, but I did a search on there and I found plenty of those listed but no one's buying. Hmmm. We'll see. I'll be happy if I get back half the money I paid for it.
Maybe my brother can use it or something.
Tomorrow night I'm headed to San Diego with A. to watch the Diamondbacks kill the Padres in their home ballpark. Heh. Wait, I take that back, I don't want to tempt fate! So why are we going at night? Because my boyfriend is a vampire. He doesn't like driving during the day. I don't like driving at night, but if he's willing to do all the driving then fine. We'll be coming back either Sunday night or Monday morning, depending on how we feel. I vote for Monday morning, but if he wants to drive then Sunday night is fine. We're staying with his sister so no hotel to worry about. Not sure what else we'll do there besides go to all the games - last year I dragged him to IKEA but now that we have one out here I don't need to do that. Besides, I can't spend that kind of money anymore, I had to "borrow" from myself to buy this computer and I intend to pay myself back before making any other big purchases. A. doesn't like the beach (the whole vampire thing again) and it will be pretty cold there anyway. Too bad we're not going in July.
If I have any exciting adventures over there I'll be sure to post them. Maybe I'll even post about the baseball games, and if you don't like baseball you can just skip that part :)
When I get back I'll be needing to catch up at work = no mid-day posting, and it will be Avon week again, plus I have another game to go to on Tuesday night. And A. may stay all week so I still won't have time to get stuff done that isn't absolutely necessary (like playing on the computer!)
Au revoir
