I'm going to the mountains... if you don't hear from me next week just assume I got attacked by a raging inferno. There are several burning in our state. One of them is close enough to my work that you can smell the smoke inside the building (but will they let us go home? No! It's not that bad, actually) and there's a smoky haze in the sky.

I will not be completely Star Wars-deprived as I'm bringing my iPod (which has the Sith soundtrack on it) and the Revenge of the Sith book which I'm about halfway through.

May the force be with us all....

You're office is located where you can be affected by fires? Forest fires I mean. I thought it was only 10 minutes from your house? **is confused on Phoenix geography**

We're pretty far north, if you were to drive just 10 minutes you'd be in the boonies. This fire wasn't anywhere near where "the mobile home in the mountains" is, though. But Arizona, as I'm sure you know, is a pretty big state - and outside of the Phoenix metropolitan area there's mostly just a whole lotta nothin' to catch on fire! I don't remember this fire in particular, but I'm sure I was joking about how I should get sent home. Hee. Lazy slob that I am.

I really need to come work in your office. I have a very strong suspicion that your idea of a "busy" day would seem normal to me. Ergo, your normal days would be a breeze!!!!

Oh yeah, you'd see a definite difference. I myself have had FAR less to be annoyed about since giving up the task that gave me the most phone calls to deal with. Hee. And lately, even the Wendy days where some things go wrong aren't even enough to stress me at all. Things are mellow. (about time we went to a new computer system and had things blow up again - that's what usually happens!)

And this is so fun replying and all but... but... I have to get ready for WORK! *cries*

Yeah, I think almost any job, no matter how busy, would be calmer than working for Tony!!!

I was wondering when you'd have to stop playing and head out to work!!!

BTW, I think I'm now in third. I believe I've passed kevthejedi. My unofficial count is at 589 and he had 582 in the last update, and I think he's only posted 2, maybe 3 times since.

I should be packing shouldn't I? But, it's only two days really. What do I need? A few changes of underwear, something to sleep in, a few pairs of shorts, t-shirts, and a pair of long pants to "dress" for dinner or to take in a show. The hard part will be selecting all the shoes to coordinate with everything!

Shoes are a PAIN IN THE ASS to travel with. I sort of pick my outfits around the least amount of shoes I can bring!

I ended up with my sneakers and a pair of blue loafers that go with everything I packed. Not bad. I still think I'll live mostly in my sneakers!

Okay, that's not too bad. I would only use one pair of shoes for a 2 day trip but you're only doing two so that's acceptable.

Somehow I have yet to work my way into the shoe store I saw among the shops. There is always tomorrow and thursday before we leave!!
