I can't work in these conditions!

It's hot as hell here at work. Outside I can handle, as long as I'm INSIDE where it's COOL - but it's pretty darn hot in here. My skin is clammy, there are beads of sweat on my forehead, and I feel so lazy and groggy cuz it's so HOT!!!!!!!

I know, I'm a baby, but jeez. We're not allowed to complain about it. Oh yes, we all got a good talking-to a couple months ago, cuz we were all bitching about it either being too hot or too cold, and the Big Cheese didn't like it. Said we need to just shut up about it and get ourselves a fan or a heater and just deal. So alas, we suffer in silence.

I worked my ass off last week, a little slacking right now won't hurt. I just joined 2 new Star Wars communities, I want to go back through and read all the posts there - errr, well, except I noticed the one has been in existence since 2001, that's a little too much reading, even for me.

I'm only on Chapter 5 of the Harry Potter book so don't spoil it for me, people. I have already heard a few things which SUCKS but I guess that's what I get for not sacrificing sleep and Star Wars-watching to read the whole thing right away!

Did I mention it's hot?

Your Big Boss in this entry sounds as obnoxious as Tony!!!! How dare he say you work in conditions that are physically uncomfortable for you? If it were ONE person bitching then, yeah, that person should be talked to. But if everyone or the majority is uncomfortable and commenting about it, then there is a problem that needs to be addressed.

Tony, of course, does NOT suffer quietly. HE is the first one to bellow for Karen to call the building management to "fix" whatever he isn't happy with. Tony believes he can complain about everyone else doing work in the building and making noise, but blasts his music. He had no sympathy when WE were doing work in the conference room and making lots of noise. Oh well...he's TONY he is immune to all rules.

I don't remember what the deal was with the air here! There was one time when we were allowed to leave if we couldn't stand it... but using PTO, not just free time off, so I toughed it out. Usually I'm kinda COLD in here. That makes going outside not so bad later!

Tony, of course, is an ass and I'm happy you're free of him for the week! Your happiness this week should reinforce that you need a new job. (or that you should be on vacation ALL the time, maybe. Ha!)

I'm behind on my f-list... one day on lumy12, 2 days on luminations. (always more behind on luminations than on lumy12) But I expect to catch up tonight.
