The Dork Game

List 5 reasons you are a dork. And make them good reasons. Justify them. Explain them. Be loud and proud of how big a dork you are! Then pick the 5 biggest dorks you know and have them do it in their journals.

5)  When I was a teenager I collected "Kissing Coolers" lip glosses - and I had to wear them in alphabetical order.  I rotated them daily.  To this day I still rotate my nail polishes, though I no longer put them in alpha order!

4)  If given the choice between going out with a friend or staying home playing video games, I would choose the latter every time.  While playing video games, I ignore the phone and later may lie and say I wasn't home.

3)  I've seen Revenge of the Sith 8 times now and plan to keep going every weekend that I'm able to for as long as it's still gracing the theatres within a 50-mile radius of my house.

2)  I'm listening to my CD collection in band order (chronologically within the band/artist) while in my car.  With a few exceptions, as noted in my first journal entry about it (in November).  I'm only on R, after 9 months!

1)  I quote Star Wars movies incessantly, even to people who don't have a clue what I'm referencing.  My cell phone message ends with "may the force be with you" (I'm cheating and combining those into one facet of dorkiness)

I know I could go on but the rules say to stop at 5 so I'll leave it at that.  Now I have to tag 5 people.  Hmmm.  I don't have a lot of LJ buds yet so no offense if you get tagged :)  To my non-LJ buds:  I would love to hear of your dorkiness too, just post a comment to this.  I'll even get you started by posting an "anonymous" comment from a gal at work who answered me via email.

I don't think I want those confessions in my LJ, but I don't mind having them in yours. :)

Okay, five reasons I could be considered a dork:

1) I'm 31 years old, and I have a collection of Hello Kitty stuffed animals on the shelf in my very pink bathroom.

2) I have not only alphabetized by CD collection, but also the spice rack in the kitchen. Switch two jars, and I'll go into a serious tizzy.

3) I have baby sunshades up on my car windows to protect my dog from the sun. He also has his own set of vents pointed toward his seat. These are for his nightly rides to the dog park where he plays with his dog friends while I talk to the other "moms" about dog things.

4) My idea of the perfect night alone: Watching Law and Order SVU while drinking coffee and doing the NY Times crossword puzzle.

5) I like my job, and often do stuff for it on my own time. I can justify this, however, as it does actually free up time in the long run.
