Was tagged by [livejournal.com profile] drusilla_malfoy  cuz she's cool:

idiosyncrasy
1. A structural or behavioral characteristic peculiar to an individual or group.
2. A physiological or temperamental peculiarity.
3. An unusual individual reaction to food or a drug.
List five of your own idiosyncrasies and then tag five friends to do the same.

Only 5?  Hee hee.  Mine all fall under #2.  First the physiological:

1)  My uvula (that little thingie that hangs down in the back of your throat) is attached to the side of my throat.  I don't know how common this is but whenever it somehow comes up in conversation, people are surprised - and grossed out when they look at it :)  I think this makes it more difficult for me to swallow than most, but I don't really know, I don't know what it feels like when others swallow!

2)  My left wrist is deformed, though unlike the above, I wasn't born this way.  Ten years ago a dipshit accidentally broke it pretty bad, needed surgery and physical therapy but it never healed properly.  I can't turn it over (palm up), which is annoying when going through a drive-through but other than that it's not bad.  My wrist can sometimes predict storms too, though not consistently enough for me to rely on it for weather forecasts or anything :)

And the temperamental:

3)  Well, I've mentioned this before, but I'll say it again cuz it IS kinda odd.  I'm listening to my CD's in order while in my car.  I started in November and I'm on "T" now (I list the CD name as my music on these posts).  I have this weird thing about alphabetizing stuff.

4)  I always have to get Mobil gas.  It's not even because I believe their gas is so much better quality than the others or anything... and they're NOT cheaper, usually.... I just have to go there.  I think that if I go somewhere else, I might not be able to figure out how the pump works, or something.  I know, I'm an idiot, but that's what goes through my brain!  On an out-of-town trip I might be forced to get something other than Mobil, and it always distresses me.

5)  I think that everything has feelings, including inanimate objects.  Logically I know this isn't true, but I feel it anyway.  This makes throwing stuff away difficult.  Even ordinary trash, at times.  ESPECIALLY food.  Even if something is going bad I am tempted to eat it rather than throw it away - sometimes I just eat around the nasty moldy part.  - Don't look at me like that, when was the last time I ever got sick???  *knock on wood*

Now I must tag 5 others.  Tag you're it:

If I didn't tag you and you wanna do it, just pretend I tagged you :)  I try not to do the same people all the time....

Oooh, I've never been tagged before! *squee*

I think that everything has feelings, including inanimate objects.

Heee! Thats so cute! But doesn't that mean eating the food is a cruelty?

I'd never been tagged before either! I don't know what 'squee' means, but I'm certainly flattered to be tagged! Have filled mine in my own journal.

Well, you would think so, but no - the purpose of the food is to be eaten, so that's okay. It's not supposed to be tossed in the trash to rot, it's supposed to nourish and bring pleasure.

Yay I like tagging peeps who LIKE being tagged :)

UGh...this just reminded me of the century old pork chops you cooked and ate. And yes, I know, you didn't get sick.

As for the last time you got sick, wasn't that just about two weekends ago?? It was your last to do list weekend anyway.

That was very unusual, that quasi-illness... it was quite pleasant, really. I was fine as long as I was sleeping or not moving around much! Must have been some weird 24-hour bug.

My allergies act up sometimes, but I don't count that. I don't get full-fledged colds or the flu very often. *knock on wood* I did have bronchitis like 10 years ago. But since then it's just been pretty wussy stuff!
