So I just looked at the weekend movie times - Star Wars has finally left the theatre close to me :( BUT it's playing at a theatre I've never heard of, I'll have to Mapquest it - I think it's about 40-50 miles away! Hmmmmm. I think I'll leave my fate in your hands:

[Poll #579801]

In other news - CONGRATS to my boy, Steve Finley, and the Anaheim Angels for clinching their division 2 days ago! My mom was kind enough to direct me to the video on their website so I could watch my Steve get drenched in champagne. A relative of ours was also there getting drenched in champagne (aren't we SPESHUL? Double reason to like the Angels) AND I just found out that we're playing the Angels next year in inter-league play - wooohoo!!! I'm SO there. Er - wait, actually, I didn't notice if we're playing them in Anaheim or here.... I think it's both though?

AND also congrats to my own neglected team, the Dbacks - even though I've shown them very little love this year, they still won their 74th game last night, which is enough for me to win the bet that A. placed for me last March! Woohoo!

And finally, if you'd like to see 2 cute pics of my Bailey cat, check out [livejournal.com profile] cats_in_sinks. That's right, we have a community for this cuteness!!!

Haha. The only reason why I say no is because a) do you wish to get 'lost' just to watch Anakin's 6pack Star Wars, b) it's coming out on Nov 15. Almost only a month away. c)My bootleg bad copy will suffice for now LoL.

=P

Ha ha - wish I had a bootleg copy already. I've heard Oct. 21, Nov. 1, Nov. 8, and now Nov. 15th? 11/1 is the date I thought was set in stone now? It might be longer for me though, cuz I need to get the whole prequel box set. I only have the first 2 prequels on VHS.

Unless I can coax someone into buying my gently-used RotS dvd bought-right-away-which-is-just-tiding-me-over-'til-the-boxed-set-comes-out....

You didn't have a bootleg copy?? I had a dl'd one within days of the movie being released in theaters. It's long gone now, it was ok quality, but it had a black bar across the top covering some of the scene. I didn't feel guilty dl'ing it becuase I knew I'd buy it when it came out on dvd, and, of course, I did the first day it was released.

No, I wasn't as online-savvy then as I am now. And I'm not even that savvy now so that's not saying much, I guess! I did get a bootleg VHS tape of Titanic back in '98, by sheer luck... but I found I didn't want to watch it that much, I still wanted to see it on the big screen! Wowie, that was before I had a dvd player. Didn't get that until 2004, I think. Seems like forever ago!

Funny you mentioned a Titantic VHS today. I went to a book sale this morning to benefit the Bethel Public Library. They had a lot of old VHS tapes, including a 2 VHS set of Titantic.

There were a LOT of Star Wars box sets too, in VHS. I had to keep myself from rescuing them all and bringing them home with me! I'd never watch a VHS version these days.

I looked for SW books, but the only two I saw I already have.

I'm going back on monday, since I luckily happen to be off...then it's $5 per BAG of books!!! Stock up on trashy romance novel time! Yeah!

You rescue Star Wars tapes like I rescue Anakin figures? Heh. Except you managed to control yourself, I see.

You like trashy romance novels? Don't you get on MY case for watching dumb Lifetime movies?!

Comparing apples to oranges!!

An novel needs to have your brain engaged to read it, even a trashy romance novel. You can't do other things around the house while reading a novel.

Watching Lifetime movies doesn't engage the brain, that's why you can run around the house doing your chores.

Besides, I only bought two trashy romance novels. And one is a favorite from many many years ago when I was really addicted to romance novels.

I read Danielle Steele novels like mad back in the day. One of them inspired an epiphany of sorts, believe it or not! I should go find my diary from that time for the LOLZ. It was late 1998, if I remember correctly.

Oh, I never liked Danielle Steele. I much prefer historical romance novels with a western setting, Scottish highlands, or vikings!

Some of hers are historical...ish. One of my favorites was set in WW2. But the people always seemed to end up in California or New York. Heh.
