Hehehehehe. No I'm not pregnant of course but I GOT MY BELLY TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND IT'S SO PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I tried it on at work (behind closed doors, cuz I haven't told many people what I'm going to be for Halloween) and it's so awesome!!!!!

I could wear this thing when I go to a crowded shopping mall at Christmastime and park in the expectant mothers parking. Yeehaw!!! (okay, no I wouldn't do that, cuz I wouldn't want to deprive someone truly worthy of the spot)

TWO WEEKS 'TIL REVENGE OF THE SITH COMES OUT ON DVD

'k I have to get to work now, cuz a coworker of mine is on his honeymoon all week so I have to do some of his stuff and I really shouldn't be slacking at the moment but it's Monday and it's hard to make myself work on a Monday y'know and this is totally a run-on sentence (sorry Stad) Will catch up on LJ tonight hopefully!

"Expectant Mothers' Parking??" WTH mall has that?

Boyo, when I was knocked up I couldn't find a close spot to save my life. Literally- my ankles were the size of cantaloupes, I got up to 350 pounds and it was SO HARD to walk ANYWHERE (I'm 5'1.)

One guy even damn near rammed me to get a close spot. Unfortunately I was crying too hard to think straight and slash his tires (hormones.)

Dang! What an asshole! Ummmm I don't remember where I've seen it, but I think places like Walmart have it too... with a cute little pic of a stork instead of the handicapped picture on the sign....

Just for you I'll use my favorite asshole icon here :)

Out here in Orygun, it's a pretty much "fend for yourself, dammit" environment. While we mostly try to be courteous of one another, we find we're being infiltrated more and more with Cali-stock and Cali-attitude :(

It's just a matter of time before we have flannel-on-flannel violence *cries*

By the way, I feel so unimaginably bad about costing us points for that contest :(
I am so sorry.

I'm a little miffed they ended it in such a manner. I adore the mod- I think she's fabbo for even doing the contest, but a lot more forethought and forewarning was definitely in order for a contest like that; not all of us are online all the time. :(
Not passing the blame, I'm just sayin' :)

annnnd I friended you.
I'll be your token Ravenclaw anytime.

Yay! I just responded to you in the private post below... don't feel bad, really! We wouldn't have won anyway. And yeah lots of teams were having time issues. I wish it would have been more like "whoever solves these first is the winner" rather than having to wait for hours to submit all the answers, not being able to do the final riddle 'til 10pm EST... and poor Pixie, she's in England so that 10pm EST was REALLY late for her.... and the times kept changing of when riddles were going up..... I think she just wanted to drive us nuts :) Please don't feel bad!

DON'T START RUMORS, MARY! If I'm pregnant it means it's the second coming of Christ. Or hey, maybe *I'm* carrying the chosen one conceived by the midichlorians, yeah.....

This is NOT the way of the Jedi

(What the hell? My computer froze and then posted a reply here before I even typed it! ARGH!)

What I was TRYING to say before I was so rudely interrupted was that you really have to worry about that jinx thing now that you have Mr. Farmer Studmuffin, heh. I tried to reply to your comments on your LJ but it kept telling me I wasn't authorized to view it? And it wouldn't let me see anything in your journal beyond 10/16???? WTF? Yet I replied at another friend's locked entry. Eh, whatever. If you don't see this it's not like I said anything absolutely essential to your life or anything.

You've never seen the spots marked like handicapped except for pregnant women? I haven't seen any in a while myself. I think it was Walmart that used to have the cute signs with the storks on them.

And yes you've already seen the pics, I think I reposted one of them in my journal for someone, or yeah maybe I linked you back here.

OH!!! When I went to Stop n Shop yesterday to do my grocery shopping I pulled into a spot next to a handicapped spot. When I looked up I realized there was a sign saying that that spot was reserved for "mothers with babies" or some such nonsense like that. Since I definitely don't drive around with a carseat in my car, I muttered and cursed and moved my car to a different parking space.

Ha! That IS crap. I understand being pregnant is very physically draining towards the end, so that's kinda nice to have special treatment (except how do they enforce it? It's just a courtesy thing I suppose) but just a mother with a baby... she can't walk? Why, cuz the car seat + baby is too heavy? Hmmmm, maybe that IS okay, actually. I imagine that's not too fun having to tote the kid up to the front to a shopping cart.

From: [identity profile] gizzi1213.livejournal.com
Well, I think they leave the car seat in the car, but yeah, I thought that was rather silly myself.

From: [identity profile] lumy12.livejournal.com
I suppose they would if the baby was old enough to sit up. But a young infant... they'd have to take something in to put in the cart. ...I don't remember how my friend did it 10 years ago (I think that's the last time I ever went shopping with a baby!)... if she had an additional little thing to put the baby in or not. Seems like a big hassle to keep connecting and unconnecting a car seat from the car.
