I did it! I created a character to role-play with at HiH. His name is Maxwell Mondragon and he has his own journal (max_mondragon, whaddaya know!) - I've always had a thing for the name Mondragon. I need to marry a Mondragon.

I am starting to catch a clue about how to play, but am shy about getting started. My character is most definitely NOT shy so this should be interesting.

Oh - and Max grew up in London. I have never been to London. Anyone have any pointers for me/him? I know he needs to go around saying "bloody hell" all the time and stuff. Yeah :)

Lol, I have a character I never really got off the ground at HiH because I too was shy at getting started. Maybe we can make them be friends or something. :)

So far he's made friends with the only other 2 firsties I know of. There are WAY too many upperclassmen. Prob'ly cuz everyone wants to have them snogging and all.

Someone directed me to the "drunkoncheese" AIM chat room, it's helpful for finding people to play with and getting your questions answered... though they confused me with all their Lost references, it helps if you watch that show!

My character is a girl. She's an upperclassman though (6th year). I wanted her to be finished with her OWL's already RP-wise, so my reason was not for snogging (though I'm sure some people's was). :P If she's too old to be friends with yours in game, I'll understand. I dunno, maybe they can be aquaintances or something. Hope you have fun RPing. :)

You're quick! I added it like, 5 minutes later, and I didn't think anyone had seen it yet so I didn't say anything. I was just like DAMN I forgot to mention that.

I did give him an American stepmother, so hopefully I can use that as my scapegoat if I say something weird. Ha!

I know you and rooty are in London so maybe I'll pick your brains if needed. I don't think much will come up, I might need the name of his elementary school? If you even call it that? Oooo how ignorant I am. Whatever school he would have gone to until he turned 11 and was eligible to go to Hogwarts.

Elementary school over here would be known as Primary school or junior school. Rooty might know a better one than me, as I live in the South of London (well, in Surrey actually, but I work in South London)

Ha! All these quotes I still have not used! Sometimes one will come to me later and I'll think, why didn't I use that one for that entry? And when I was doing my marathon, I had to remind myself to quit thinking "Ah! I need to use that one!" and stay involved in the movie.

Oh it would be much harder to play a canon character like that. Was this on livejournal or somewhere else? I was going to look for a Star Wars game to play but then thought I probably don't know enough about the EU to play... guess it depends on the game...
