Just got some sad news. Felt compelled to dedicate a post to my online friend.
Rest in peace, Nina (

I didn't know her very well, only online and only in the past couple months (since I joined
hogwartsishome). She befriended me right when I joined and we just kind of "clicked." She encouraged me to start roleplaying - though, by the time I got around to creating a character to interact with hers, she had left the community. What a shame! Anyway, I will miss our chats. She was a lovely, remarkable girl and my heart aches for her family and friends.
I knew she'd been very ill, but she had said she'd try to get on AIM every so often... I kept waiting to see her sign on but it's been I think a few weeks since we were on at the same time. Last night I saw her sign on, I was about to go "munch on her tail" as I usually did to greet her... but she signed off immediately. Obviously now I know that wasn't her, and I'm glad I wasn't able to cause that family member any more pain, even on such a small scale.
Note to self: Go back and make sure you have her voicepost saved on your computer somewhere.
I'm going away now, I can't be sitting here crying at work!
ETA: I'm a big doofus. I actually shed a few tears because "she never got to read Book 7." I'm all emo now, still at work - and I didn't even know her very well. *sigh*
