I never heard of today being International Star Wars day before. What kind of fangirl am I?

I wonder how much less obsessed I would be with Star Wars if I wasn't looking at some form of it on LJ every day. Heh. I don't really want to find out. I love obsessing over it.

Obligatory comment about the re-release of the original OT on dvd in September: Yay? I guess I'm not a Star Wars purist because I rather like the enhanced versions. I don't care if Han shoots first. And I'd much rather see Hayden at the end of RotJ than Sebastian. Sorry, that's just how it is. That said, I would enjoy seeing unaltered versions for nostalgic reasons... I'll probably end up buying them. Damn you, Lucas, how much more of my money do you want?

Last night I dreamt that I got booted out of the omg_lightsaber chat and had this great moral dilemma of "do I sign back in so they know I don't hate them?" vs. "Meh, they'll figure it out, I'm too lazy to get online again." Oh, the worries of my subconscious mind. Why can't I have COOL DREAMS?

I have a busy weekend coming up. I'm going to pretend you care about my online schedule (come on, you know you care where I'm at 24/7!):
- Friday night: not online
- Saturday: not online day OR night
- Sunday: possibly online at night
So I'd like to finish up all current threads today/tonight if possible (I have 3 left, I think?) because believe it or not, timeline fuckification DOES annoy me a little - the anal, orderly part of me. But if we can't, oh well, my anal brain will live. Might have to fast-forward some of the madhawtAniPadme sex to get to the rockofd00m part, which we SO have to still do because I uploaded a cute icon of young!Natalie.

And the weekend after this one = first mountain trip of the year! I've signed up to donate blood just before leaving, too. Meh - they haven't wanted my blood the past 2 times I've tried to donate, maybe this will make it happen. Hey, azurien, remember that Star Wars puzzle you sent me? My dad told me to bring it, we're going to put it together. *snort* He likes to do 2000- or 3000-piece puzzles so this will be a snap (not to mention it's a kid's puzzle and all).

Can't wait to pick up my new contact lenses today. Have been wearing my glasses nonstop for almost a month now! I'm tired of them!

The movie was good but you can't fully appreciate it without seeing the series! Yeah, it sadly only had one season. Dumbass TV networks.

Oh, how awfully funny... May Fourth is a big deal around here as well. You may recall the unfortunate incident (http://dept.kent.edu/may4/) at Kent State University (where I currently reside) on this date in 1970. Well, all right, I don't recall it but living here it's really difficult not to get an earful about it this time of year. A song (http://www.lyricsdownload.com/crosby-stills-nash-young-four-dead-in-ohio-lyrics.html) was even written about it. Odd.
