YES! Third time is the charm - I was able to donate blood today, after being rejected the past two times I tried. Aaaaaaaaaaaand I didn't/don't feel woozy at all, which isn't usually the case. I must be really healthy now or something.

I don't watch the needle go in, but I like to watch the blood travel down to the bag below on the little rocker thingie.

The human body is amazing.

Now I'm leaving for the mountains, yay! Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

Yay! *gives Wendy a sticker for a good deed* You have to give twice, cause I can't give blood. So give once for me. heh heh

I have blood taken once every 6 months..sometimes once every 3 months and I still cringe. But they have trouble finding veins in me so now they just go in on the back of my hand which hurts more than the inside of the elbow. I can't even look in the direction of the needle or I start to feel sick. I have to look at the opposite wall and talk about random things. The nurses always think it's funny because I start conversations about the stupidest things so I don't thinka bout the blood being taken. Usually, over here though, they just start talking to me about my accent and where am I from and...blah blah...so I don't have to start talking about the pros and cons of buying a real Christmas tree as opposed to using a fake one. <.<

Anyway, I hope you have fun. I LOVE the mountains. I should go this weekend too since it's been in the 70's here. It's actually WARM!

Awww - I know it sucks when they can't get a vein - I don't know from personal experience but I've seen coworkers suffer through that. Ick. That would probably make me stop giving.

It WAS really nice, in the 80s during the day and in the 40s at night. It's so beautiful up there. I did write something for the rp too, woo! But will keep it hidden away 'til the time is right. *cue evil music*

Aw, thanks - I feel so good after I've donated. I've only done it three times ever, since I kept getting rejected, so I guess it's still sort of a new thing for me.

Ok, I'm a few ahead of you. I got turned away once when they were really busy and said they couldn't drain us before they closed. I think I'm up to 12 donations now.

They never find my veins. They never listen to me when I tell them they are not where they are supposed to be. I always end up black and blue, hence, I no longer give blood. And they like my blood type!!!

I don't know about doing a whole scale purge on my icons. I've only deleted a few in all the time I've been on LJ. I've never filled my limit.
