My house was just full of visitors this weekend! First the kitten I pic-spammed you with. Then on Saturday, Kate (azurien) called and said she was really close to Arizona, would I like a visitor? Suuuuure! She's the one who made my beautiful Padme dress, and we've sent each other presents a few times... she's been travelling all around the U.S. for the past few months with her doggie. A huge bear of a dog (a Chow), but very well-behaved compared to most dogs I know. So my poor kitties had to endure first a kitten, then a big ol' scary dog. Yes, they hate me, I'm sure. I moved all the kitties safely into my bedroom but the brave ones ventured out at times. Little Kasha wasn't afraid of her at all!

I did insist on taking Kate out for real Mexican food, but that's the only Arizona-ish thing we did. Unless going to Cold Stone Creamery counts - she had never been there, but I think they have Cold Stones all over the place, not just Arizona? The weather cooperated and cooled off a bit for her, but it was still very hot, and she's not accustomed to it, so that was our excuse for lazing around watching Star Wars and other movies, and fangirling Hayden :) Last night Kate, my brother, and I played the Star Wars Saga Edition trivial pursuit game I got for Christmas that I never get to play - woooo! That was fun.

It's so cute that she was squee-ing every time she saw a cactus. She'd never seen one before. I soooo take them for granted. And the humidity yesterday was 6% - she's used to 50% or above at all times, which sounds crazy to me :)

She'll be leaving for California today, unless she decided to be lazy and take me up on my offer to stick around and watch more movies all day while I'm here at work, heh. I'm such a laziness-enabler. Now I just need to catch up on all things online while I pretend to be working today.

Kate left her Anakin lip balm in my car, I found it when I got to work. Should I keep it? Heh. Maybe she'll check her LJ before she leaves and decide to stick around 'til I get home just to get it!

Oh - and, kevthejedi - or anyone else, really, but I think he might know - what planet do Han and Luke get the medals on at the end of ANH? We don't know and it's bugging us. I don't want to ask starwars people cuz they'll be all snarky about it.

hehe yes i am still here! and using your computer! oh i just don't want to leave because it is sooooooooooooo hot today i was just organizing my car and it's roasting! maybe i should wait till the sun is going down and drive all night. plus my lip balm! and i didn't get to say goodbye! boo i am so sad to leave my super-bestest-SW-pal!! :(

Yeah, and Gryff made an entry in his journal after her visit...the second time? (cuz they don't have their LJ yet here) The next year, I guess. It made her feel bad though, like I was trying to tell her to leave! So I told Gryff he needs to be more sensitive in his entries.

I think she might have been hinting a few days ago that she wanted to come stay with me for a while, as she decides what to do, where to go... but she didn't come out and ASK, which is good cuz I would have said no. A visit is one thing, but I won't subject my kitties to the big scary dog for an extended time! (besides, I REALLY like living alone. Aaron and my brother are the only exceptions to the rule, their presence doesn't bother me in the slightest)

Oh, is she a bit of a drifter??? I could tolerate someone coming out to stay with me if I knew a DEFINITE date they were leaving. Like if you wanted to come out and visit this summer so you could escape the heat of Tatooine for a few days or a week. (hint hint hint)

Yeah I'm fine with that too -- I would prefer a definite start and end date of a visit. With some notice. But she doesn't usually plan that way!
