"It is done, then."
Sep. 17th, 2006 01:08 pmI agreed to let T's son hang out here after school Monday - Thursday until T can pick him up after work. He'll get here probably around 2pm, she'll pick him up probably around 8pm. I get home from work between 4-5pm most days so that's 3-4 hours of not-alone time each day. I can handle this. Yes. It's only temporary.
I will not bitch about driving him to a school thing on Monday.
I will not bitch about the fact that I either have to feed him or wait until 8pm to eat, because I can't just eat in front of him, ya know? T is a wonderful cook, I am a lousy cook. She knows this. She did not ask me to feed him.
T offered to buy me a gift certificate when she gets her first paycheck at the end of the month (new job). I said "that's not necessary" but you know what? It would be nice. If she wants to buy me a gift I'll accept it.
Seriously... I think it'll be fine. He's a great kid (18, but still a kid to me - I've known him since he was 12). He's an introvert, like me - and unlike his mom. The house they're staying at now is obnoxiously loud (if she was hinting for me to offer for them to stay here, it didn't work - I'm not THAT nice). He'll mostly be working on homework and watching TV. He knows he has to put up with me watching my soap opera every day. And he'll have to put up with me teasing him about how many "girlfriends" he has too. Heh.
Okay,
wenchcat, are you around? You're not on AIM and I don't have your phone # - your daughter is still asleep soooooo I'm kinda unsure what to do here. I could come over to your house first maybe and maybe she'll wake up on the way? Whee, nevermind, it's all good now ^_^

Honestly, I expected her to ask to stay with me. But after the whole thing with my brother's place getting broken into and all... I can more legitimately say no - plus last time she stayed with me, they had a solid plan, and she was only there 2 weeks. It was fine. Much longer than that and I'll begin to feel the urge to kill her. She knows this ^_^ Plus I have Aaron crashing here a couple weeks from now and she won't be in the apartment by then.

Whew!
