Nov. 10th, 2006 08:04 amThis week's
thefridayfive is about travelling.
1) If you had to move 100 miles or more to the north, east, west, or south, which would you choose, where would you end up, and what's so great about there? It would have to be more than 100 miles - I'm going with north. 288 miles to Vegas. Er, that's the mileage to Aaron's house in Vegas, which is not where I'd want to live, for various reasons. I love visiting the Las Vegas strip, it's like transporting yourself into another world. Or worlds, rather.
2) Do you have a favorite stretch of highway or byway for driving, touring, or wandering? The 93 going up to Vegas has some nice stretches. I also like the Beeline (87? I think?) going up in the other direction, to the White Mountains. I just like open roads in general. I love to drive but hate being in traffic.
3) Are you happier to start a trip or return home? Returning home is sad. I'm definitely happier to start the trip.
4) Plane, train, automobile, bicycle, or foot? Automobile!
5) Do you overplan or underplan your travels? (Assume that "no" is not a valid answer.) I want to say overplan, but I don't really. Meh, I don't travel far enough to really have to plan things. I can't remember the last time I booked a hotel or a flight.

It's blood drive day. Will edit this later to put in my blood stats - HOPEFULLY nothing post-worthy happens this time. But I do want to track my stats cuz... I just do.
ETA: They rejected me. Phooey. Hematocrit level was 35 and it has to be at least 38. Dangit! The girl said they may be switching to a hemoglobin test that will be more accurate and allow more women like me to donate more often. BP was good, though, 88 over... something. She was all impressed with that, said I'll probably never have a problem with hypertension. Woo! Pulse was 76. Temp 98.5.
