Wow I've been busy lately. Working working working. Today at least I get to do work around the house - work that does not involve cleaning (that can be put off 'til next weekend).

I miss my Bailey kitty. In case you're wondering, I did make that awfully hard decision to have him put to sleep. He was suffering too much. And yes I missed a couple hours of work but I got right back to it. Honestly, being home is harder than being at work. I don't think I'll mind going to work tomorrow. (Crazy-busy time isn't over yet! It's going to be a long week for such a short week - we're off for Thanksgiving but we have to work the day after, which is stupid, but oh well, I'll decorate my office for Christmas)

And I finished my jedi__santa offering last night instead of getting online. Go me!

Question for NaNo-ers - is anyone even remotely close to the 50,000 words yet? It's the 19th so you should be at about 30,000 or so, right? It seems a lot of my f-list signed up for this but no one's going to actually do it. Awww.

I'm sorry about your poor kitty. The decision to put my Lily to sleep is the hardest one I've ever had to make. They're such close friends, always there and always willing to listen to your problems. My cats are truly my children.

I sorta-kinda signed up for NaNo but am definitely not going to finish. :( Too darned much to do school-wise. Ah well, maybe next year.

Thank you. SO hard. I thought I'd feel comforted after the fact, knowing that I was ending his suffering, but... there's still the "what if"s. He wasn't responding to the medication the way he was expected to. The vet was reluctant to put him to sleep which ALMOST made me change my mind too. The whole thing was just so so sad.

And I can't bring myself to edit the kitty journal to say "4 kitties" etc. I've tried several times and end up crying and closing out of it each time. He's still on my voicemail message too. I can't change that yet either. I guess it'll just take time.
