As some of you may have noticed, I've been scarce this week. Very very busy! The week just flew by. I'm still very busy but not so much at home now, just at work.

A few of my observations of this week:

Good things
-I got Amazon goodies! QaF (S1), Lego SW the Prequel Trilogy for GBA, and the very pretty Serenity RPG book which I will SO never use for its original purpose but will drool over muchly.
-I ate the best cornbread of my life. Seriously. It was orgasmic. I didn't know cornbread could be so good.
-Yay baseball!
-The new announcer sounds very similar to the old one; I think I'm gonna be okay with this.
-Warm fuzzies at work due to my machine-like nature and willingness to get overtime help out another office
-Yay virtual LJ gift!

Bad things
-My fucking cat is driving me insane. I don't know what his problem is but I'm tired of his whining and bullying. And believe me, I can tolerate a lot of whining. I usually think it's cute.
-I'm really pissed off about something right now but I'm going to give the person a chance to make it right before I bitch about it here. Whew, the ship has been righted!
-Barely saw any baseball, barely saw any American Idol
-Glancing at the ballgame Tues., the opponent looks more like my team than my team does. Boo. And we lost... in the 11th inning, ouch. And now (Thurs.) the teams look nearly identical to the naked eye. Booooooo.
-I basically threw $34 down the drain because I'm an idiot.
-No time to enjoy the aforementioned Amazon goodies
-I expect to be too dead to watch Lost on time, which means I can't look at anything for fear of being spoiled because people ARE SO INSENSITIVE ABOUT SPOILERS. (okay, not all, but some) ETA: Yup, was dead, went to bed right after crying at the end of American Idol. *sigh* Sooooo so sad. By the time I get online and post this I will have seen Lost though. Nope I posted it first. heh.

I Don't Know? thing
-The Arizona room (screened-in patio) is really starting to bug me. It just keeps getting messier and junkier, and if I even make a dent with the empty box purging I just throw new ones out there again the next week. Because I can't just frickin' throw boxes away like normal people. Tuesday night when I was crazy-busy and wound up and needing to get to bed but not being calm enough to sleep... I thought "Hey, why don't I just stay up all night and work on cleaning it up?" If I don't actually vacuum (don't want to wake up the neighbors, even if one is my nightowl bro) and CLEAN but just organize it shouldn't even take that long. But I talked myself out of it, because I'm crabby enough as it is without adding extra sleep deprivation to the mix. So it shall continue to annoy me until I put it on my to-do list. (it's on my long-term to-do list. Yeah, the list I never cross anything off of. Heh)

I know this is kind of lame, but I'm doing it anyway. I'm never going to take the time to comment to everything on this week's f-list posts so I'll "reply" here. You can pick what you think applies to your post. *snicker* And I'm quite sure I don't remember everything I would have said to everyone had I been around every day.

-Awwwww!
-Oh yum.
-I had to go back and read your post again when I wasn't quite so scattered, and it made me tear up a bit. So sad.
-Hospitals suck.
-I totally keep my kitchen sponges around longer than the average person, I think. I just feel bad throwing them away. And I don't even throw them away when I replace them... I take the old sponge and put replace the one under the sink in the "yuck" bin - to use for unsavory, non-kitcheny cleaning.
-You're actually tied for #5 if you add in the old journal. Woo!
-I'm a sucker for ghosty!Qui fics. Nice.
-How can you not like "Mr. Brightside"? Come on, now. That's good fun music. ETA: Too funny, that was also Kev's guess the quote Thursday. And it's not like that's a new song or anything! You guys are on the same wavelength!
-It must be "be mean to your mama if you're a black cat" week.
-Poor Scarlett. I still love her.
-But the FUN of Legos is taking them apart and making different stuff!
-Why is it still snowing anywhere?
-Yeah now I totally want to go and see which Slyth said that, even though I only know a couple of them, really, and I don't think they would have.
-*pets* I get like that about my writing sometimes too. Probably no one else really notices it, at least not to the extent that you do!
- ... 6-month threads? O.o
-lol! Google winz
-Oh crap, I can't reply to your heavily filtered post here, that would just be rude. *reminds self to go reply with something thoughtful later*

I'll be on AIM after the ballgame and after I watch Lost! (not for long though cuz I have to get up early again)

It just irritates me. I think it's the tone of the singer's voice, or maybe it's because it's a fucking stupid overly popular song. Raaaage.

Also, I am not leaving my dorm again until it's above sixty degrees.

...you know, except for the part where I have to go to class and things. *sigh*

Also also, I like getting individual comments. New emails that aren't school-related brighten up my day.

And I like leaving individual comments, but not when there's sooooo many entries to go through!

Darth Leia? Would this involve the "Sith Mode" I see in the Cantina? I need to look up cheats for all that stuff so I don't have to save so much money. I'm pretty sure the Gameboy version isn't nearly as good as the regular computer games too. But I love it.

ZOMG u r the laziness to post those comments there LOL

but i forgives u for using that quote. whatta ya know.

cornbread is teh bestest!! wee!! scarlett is a bad acting doe eyed lump!
u should beat that cat and spray w water bottle!

ew ew EW KITCHEN SPONGE BIOHAZARDS! it is the dirtiest thing in the whole house, dirtier than a toilet in a gas station bathroom.. you should get some of those stripey thin dishwashing rags at the dollar store and use those for a couple days then throw them in the dryer. it's hard to describe if u dont know what it is but its very thin funny fabric.
"The article details how Cook's took dirty kitchen sponges with bacterial counts of 41 million to 59 million colony forming units (CFUs) per sponge and subjected them to a variety of cleansing methods. Freezing the sponges for 48 hours did nothing to disinfect them. Soaking them in soap and hot water for two minutes left 1.4 million CFUs. Putting them through the dishwasher left 410,000 CFUs. Soaking them in a bleach solution left 2,000 CFUs. Both boiling the sponges for three minutes and microwaving them for three minutes worked the best, in each case leaving the sponges with 1,000 CFUs."

Oh, I know it's fun taking apart Legos and building new stuff. (:P Hey, you should see what my son builds with his Bionicles! But when you spend hours putting the ships together and then later find them in pieces all over your floor and you keep stepping on them it can be frustrating.

I found out the reason my son took everything apart is because he wanted to build every single droid that appears in the saga. And he did! It was very cool.

One of the joys of having an autistic child is he has a photographic memory and can remember the smallest details. Not only did he build every single droid just from memory he has since rebuilt four of the ships and hasn't had to use the instruction manuals at all. There's no way in hell I could do that. I've decided if he gets the urge to (dismantle his ships and) build the droids again I'm taking pictures.
