Happiness is getting to work on a Monday morning to find the air conditioning broken.

I think we should all be sent home. How can we work like this?

What I think will happen, though, is that when the exec.assistant gets here in about 5 minutes, she'll call a repair guy who will rush out here and fix it.

I'm sweating. And still drinking coffee. Heh. Gots to have my coffee!

Heh - nope, the guy won't be out for a couple hours.
How stupid am I - my boss just went around telling people if they were too hot they could go home, and she'd call them when it was fixed. I said I'd stay and suffer it out. Why do I speak before I think?

Hehe. I would actually feel like a wuss, unless EVERYONE went home. But only one girl left. I'm usually cold in here, and even the always-hot person is toughing it out so I can do it!

Airconditioning. Hehehehe Funnny. Who has air conditioning? They don't even sell it in cars over here. It's rarely warm enough.

Also, the British always drink hot drinks when it's warm out. Anything above 65, and I need something ice cold. But I'm crazy that way.

They don't sell it in cars???? That's where you need it more! I would die! 'course, like you said, you guys don't get very hot often.

Someone had an extra fan they let me borrow which helps (I had one but gave it away because I'm "never hot"), and now the guy's here working on the air so YAY an end is in sight.

beh! i had something similar happen at my work . the air con in the lunch room broke on THE HOTTEST DAY OF THE YEAR!!! & we couldn't open the windows. it was so gross breathing in other peoples BO yuck!

Ugh - yeah, it has to happen at least once every summer, doesn't it? It cooled off some but it was still quite warm when I left. I guess it takes a long time to kick into high gear or something.

We had lots of fans going and I sprayed people with my banana/coconut body spray so we could all pretend we were on the beach (and no noticeable BO, yay). Ha! Tomorrow I'm wearing my hair up just in case it's still on the toasty side.

And my boss only got us air conditioning units last year (this is my 9th year at the company) - over here air con is a luxury, not a necessity

It feels MUCH better in here today, I think I'll even have my second cup of coffee. (you don't know what you're missin'!)

I would die without A/C. There would be a lot less people living here if we didn't have it everywhere.

Ha ha - nope. It was warm all day but at least it started working around 11am. And today it was refreshingly cold in there!

See, it's pretty damn hot here too. It was FREEZING in my office because they had it kranked up so high. It's impossible to work with no AC! How could they do that?
