Yay TM prompt! Padmé's been missing her Anakin. XD (Completely leaving aside the fact that I totally forgot to make her respond to the last tag he left her ... I suck. LOL.)

I need to do TM and QM stuff this weekend too, it's my week to update my character journals. Poke me if I forget. XD

Hehe, no worries, I have no idea what they were doing last. I've actually only missed one prompt (I couldn't come up with anything decent for "impossible" - which is weird cuz that doesn't seem like a difficult prompt or anything). There was one entry of yours I almost had him respond to but it was set during a time he was away (and in the future of where I normally put him in the timeline)... and of course I hesitate to respond to your QM stuff in case that treads on anyone's toes.

You have a week that you update? You don't like, split them up or just do it when you feel inspired? Oh yeah, you're INSANE so you can't wait 'til you're inspired for everyone or you'll lose someone. HA!

Yeah, that'd be good! I'll plan on it a week from tomorrow - Sat. the 8th. And Pants will be done with her meds by then so I won't have to fret about getting back late. Heh. Thanks for the ticket!!!

Good gawd, you guys and your lists. I rarely make To Do lists anymore because they literally drive me insane. Heh.

(My sister STILL hasn't had the baby. I mean, unless she's having it as we speak. Hee.)

Hee! I don't do one every weekend. I just wanted to have a productive weekend since last one really wasn't and this next one most likely won't be either.

Still??? Well, I guess she'll get her wish and not have it on leap year day then! Though personally I think that's a COOL birthday to have.

Gah! I've found myself making 'to do' lists lately. I rarely get it all done especially the ' work on assignment' bit.

But you do get more done than when you DON'T make a list, right? It's like this implied authority figure barking orders at you. Harder to ignore than a simple mental notion of "ohhh I really should do THIS this weekend, but I don't really feel like it, maybe I'll just lay around and watch TV instead."

I usually put one or two things on there that I don't necessarily expect to get done, but by adding them to the list I nudge myself to do them anyway.

It has been helping me with remembering to do things. I am very forgetful.

You posted anonymously at ff.net, so I thought I'd just drop a quick and heartfelt thank you for the reviews you left for my stories. I was so happy to receive those:) It's not every day that I get reviews for stories that have been posted for over two years (I believe).

As for writing more stories, I am concentrating on the Forgotten Realms right now, but I still have plans to finish Anakin Skywalker: Lord of the Sith (which unfortunately has very little Palpy, I know) and who knows what I might be inspired to write when I get back to that.

No prob! I'm glad you got the comments. Wasn't sure since they were old. I'm still sniffing around for Star Wars fic there so I might find more of your stuff.

Wow! You checked almost every single thing off of your list. Great job! I'm never that productive on the weekend. I did, however, see The Other Boleyn Girl yesterday. I'm curious to know what you think. I thought the acting was excellent, and I love whoever was behind the camera. The shots were just beautiful. Parts of the movie upset me a bit, and I found myself still thinking about it today. But I am oddly sensitive about movies/books like that.

Oh I'll have to remember to come back here and comment on the movie when I cross it off my list tonight :)

And I've found if I want to have a productive weekend, I just need to make such a list. I have a feeling the only thing that won't get crossed off is "draw something" which was thrown on there as an extra anyway. I would have done it Saturday night but I was all sickly and blah from working in the yard all day. I should have waited another day because Sunday it was like 10 degrees cooler outside! Heh. Oh well. At least it's done now.

I like making lists too. It makes me feel good to mark things off. Definitely don't forget to come back here and tell me about it, since you hopefully seen the movie tonight.
Maybe you'll be able to draw something this week? Hope so. I'd like to see some more of your work. =) On Sunday I went out with my aunt Christina and took some pictures mostly for my photography class but some just for fun too. It was the first time I had a model and props, so I was excited. I felt like I was on my own photo shoot. It can be a lot of fun being creative, even if the whole learning process can be a bit frustrating at times.

Cool, you should post some of your photography!

I did go see it, and I liked it a lot. Like you said, the acting was great. The scenery made me want to go back to England (but then, lots of things do!) I can think of a few cringe-worthy scenes, wonder which one in particular is bothering you?

I should yoink some new Nat icons.

Can you post photos without a subscription? Just paste it into the box I suppose? I've thought about it but haven't tried it yet. Right now I just post my pics at deviant, if you want to check it out. http://occhitempestosi.deviantart.com/

The one were Anne was raped bothered me the most, although I found the whole ending sad and disturbing. I felt really bad for the brother, since his character seemed like a good person who cared for his sisters, and the mother, to have to stand by and watch the man you married for love destroy your children because his ambition mattered more to him than them or her.
So what did you think of Anne and Mary? I thought from the previews I would like Natalie Portman's character was witchy, but actually even though she did some not nice things, I liked her for most of it. For reasons I don't even quite understand myself, I found myself not liking Mary that much. I felt like she was a big hypocrite. She talked about loving her husband and chiding Anne repeatedly because she was going after someone who was engaged, yet she quickly 'fell' for the king even though he was married and happily agreed to send her husband away. Even though it seems like she didn't have a lot of choice in being sent to the king (especially since he made it obvious with her sister he would just take what he wanted), so it was really better she enjoyed it than not, I still found her rather irksome in some parts of the movie.

Ohhh those are beautiful! You're really good!
Yeah you can post them on LJ without a paid account, but maybe you'd just wanna link people there, that seems easy enough.

Yeah, the rape was cringe-y, coupled with the "how was he with you?" "Tender." Anne was like a little girl who got in over her head. Thinking about it now, she reminds me of Scarlett O'Hara, who to me is very likable (perhaps more likable than Anne). I see what you mean about Mary, but I think I liked her more than you - her husband was wrong to allow the arrangement in the first place. He apparently just lacked the backbone to stand up for himself/them, as it DID seem to upset him... I wonder what happened to him? They didn't say, did they? If they did, my bro and I both missed it. We were wondering how she could end up with that other guy if she was still married to the first one (even though he got sent on some far away assignment... was anything said after that?)

All the women were stronger than the men in this movie, it seems. Ha!

Oh, and as for Mary falling in love with the king... I think that was probably just her not knowing her husband very well in the first place, being an arranged marriage (right?), and the fact that he was apparently an inexperienced/bad lover, so then when she met this guy who totally knows what he's doing she just fell head over heels. She should listen to Tori Amos: "Just because you can make me come, it doesn't make you Jesus" - heeee!

Thanks for the compliment! And for checking them out. I love photography so much on my own, but it always makes me feel good when other people like my pictures.

I've never seen any of the Scarlett O'Hara movies, but I did read one of the books (I can't remember the title, although I don't think it was Gone With The Wind. Was there a second one maybe?) and it was really good. I could see how she and Anne have some similarities. I actually liked Anne a bit, although I'm not sure why since she wasn't the nicest person.
I agree with you about Mary's husband. He should have been stronger and at least tried to stand up for them, but I really don't think it would have mattered in the long run since the man who wanted was a king and I think would have had her regardless if her husband tried to stand up for them or not. Her husband would still have probably been sent away or maybe killed.
I don't know what happened to her husband. I don't think they said after he was sent away, unless I missed it too. Yeah, it is strange she was able to remarry. Maybe what he was sent away to was dangerous and he died? I'm not sure.
I agree. The women were strong. It's just said that even though they were stronger people, the men still seemed to ultimately rule their lives. I mean the mother was stronger than the husband without a doubt, but he was still the one making the choices.
It was an arranged marriage, but she made a comment during the wedding to her husband about being happy that she was fortunate enough to be with him and not just be married to someone because of money or status. So that led me to believe that they did have some feelings for one another. But I could be wrong.
Hehe! You have a point. I just didn't think of it like that; I guess because I have very limited experience in that area. Maybe if I had a good lover, at some point, I'd be more understanding to Mary's plight. ;-) I love that lyric btw! I'll have to look up the song it's from.

You probably read Scarlett which was very good. I haven't seen the movie for that, though - I heard it wasn't that good compared to the original movie (which I also didn't watch for the longest time, due to fear of it not living up to the book - but it was great!)

That's right, Mary DID say something about marrying for love instead of money...pfft. SO glad to be alive in the current time period, where things still aren't quite equal for men and women but I have no cause for complaints in my own life. And if I had to marry someone I didn't love... just, ewww.

Anne was a likable character, I thought. Good for Nat, making her come across that way. Both girls were victims of their time period.

Ah yes, you're a sucker for a good quote!!! Shame on me, I should know what song it's from off the top of my head... I THINK it's called "Precious Things" but I'm not certain. Googling would probably find it easy enough.
