I just love dragging my tired ass out of bed at 5am for no reason. /sarcasm
So, the payroll's due right now, only I'm just a wee bit behind schedule since THE FUCKING SYSTEM HAS BEEN DOWN SINCE I GOT HERE. And the Powers That Be are "working on it." Yeah, I wonder how hard.

*sigh* Oh well, nothing I can do about it. I'll just bust my balls when it comes up and deal with whatever happens later.

I'm SO doing another round of my guess-the-song meme when I'm all done. And pretty much slacking the rest of the day in protest.

One day we were making a big delivery to the RAF so we all get in early (I say early, I mean 7am, but since we usually only have to get there at 9:30am, so early). Now the software wasn't finished, wasn't tested and we get there to find the gate is locked and there is a queue of people waiting to get in the car park.

Apparently the security company had an alarm go off with another of their sites and decided to go investigate that, so they didn't open up our building till 8.

Anyway, lots of hard work later we delivered on time and charged the security company twenty grand.

My boss is awesome and she's been whining to people back east about getting me access. We're the only company transmitting payroll today (cuz everyone else is biweekly, we're special snowflakes and semi-monthly) so I get to have access all by my little self while thousands of users keep waiting! BWAHAHAHA!

Also, every time I drive down the street I did last night, I swear I'm gonna take pictures of it next time so I can show you how wide it is. It's 2 lanes but I bet you guys could make it 8 - it's ridiculous!

Yeah, basically charged for everyone that was there from the time they turned up to the time they got around to opening, then added a bonus cause we had to go out of our way making the delivery and a breach of contract thingy. Contracts are great aren't they. Course I wouldn't have liked to be the security company.

Nice! I wonder if we ever get compensated from FedEx when they mess up and send our checks to the wrong state and stuff. Though most of the time they blame the weather, which I suppose we can't hold them responsible for...
