It's been a while since I had a productive weekend! Please yell at me if I don't have a bunch of stuff crossed off by Sunday!
These are not in order, mind you.
And I won't expect to get that much done on Monday because that's a long day at work, followed by an early day.

To-Do List for Fri. 6/20 -- Mon. 6/23/08
- get up early and mow lawn
- water mowed lawn
- workout (just once!)
- change all litterboxes
- all 4 "Sat. morning" chores (3 were half-assed, but oh well, "screw it" seems to be the motto of the day)
- lunch with A? (not Aaron. Another A!) Rescheduled for Tuesday!
- call S; if S can't help, (fuck that, I'm not in the mood to ask for favors now. Will call a pro and fork over $ and that will be the end of it)

I'm always amused by your to do list. For example, what is a "saturday morning chore." I mean, how are we supposed to know if you've accomplished your goal if you don't detail the chores?

And, do we even want to know what "one bedroom thing" means? And does it tie in at all to "call S; if S can't help, call professionals!"

Inquiring minds want to know.

I usually do either 2 or 4 of the Saturday morning things. NEVER 3. Rarely 1. (Nam, are you paying attention for your chart?) And all you have to know is whether I cross that thing off the list, because I will do them all one right after the other on Sat. morning. :)

The bedroom thing is NOT PERVERTED. I swear my mind didn't even GO there. LOL you're a naughty girl. My bedroom... needs some attention. (refer to photo meme post!) But none of it is urgent, or visible to anyone but me, really, so it gets left. I try to tidy up parts of it every so often.

The S thing is about chopping down my 3 dead trees, actually. The City of Phoenix put a notice on my door. I can't hope that they just spontaneously come back to life! S chopped down a smaller tree for me 5 years ago, he wanted the firewood. He offered to do these for me, but he has to coordinate some stuff first... or something... I don't know, it was a few weeks ago that we talked about it, I wasn't in a hurry to get it done then. I'll still pay him but not as much as a pro would charge. Maybe I could get him to hack the tall grass on the side of my yard too, THAT got mentioned in the notice. :( I triiiiiiiied to clear that a couple weeks ago but my weedwhacker is broken and I don't know how to fix it and it's really thick and hard to get with my little shears! *WHIIIIINE*

Oh crap - there's the NO WHINING sign... *zips it!*

OH, but she does! I'm much newer to this homeowner business than Wendy is!! And she writes "Saturday Morning Chore" like it is some sort of official designation for chores.

What if I'm doing my chores wrong??? What is something that is supposed to be a Saturday Morning Chore I'm actually doing on sunday afternoon? Or...gasp!...worse, maybe DURING THE WEEK!?

I'd hate to fail at being a homeowner because I don't know what the official Saturday Morning Chores are!

The "Sat. morning" thing goes back to when I was a kid, actually. Only then it was 2 things, my brother and I alternated each one weekly... and they could be done any time over the weekend but I learned quick that it was best to get it out of the way so it's not hanging over my head all weekend!

So it carried into adulthood. If I'm not home on Saturday (even if I AM home on Sunday!), I tend to just skip those chores entirely and do them the next weekend. (thus, I have all 4 on the list this time, because I was gone all last weekend)

I like how mysterious it sounds now. I don't think I should ever list what they are. BWAHAHAHAHA!

How sad is it that I haven't done the flossing yet when it's so easy? I'm so bad. It's cuz I feel like I have to be done eating for the night to do it, I think... so I just put it off and then I get too tired! (should combine flossing with dieting, really)

The Coffee Table of Doom refers to dealing with mail, mostly. Only now it really refers to my kitchen counter, too, because the PS2 takes up precious pile room on the coffee table. Heh. I've started on it!
