I find that even though knowledge may be power, I still get looked down upon because I am female. When I tell people that I graduated two years early, people seem surprised, because it's usually boys who do that (and I have had the fact that I'm female mentioned more than three times in that aspect. I'm not just making an observation.)
So I have to go with ignorance is bliss, because I find before you find out how awful people truly are and how cruel they can really be, you're much happier in your ignorant world.
Reason behind my answer: There is not much more I need to know in life to live happily. There are a great many things I wish I did not know that rot in the back of my mind.
I do try to read the books in order, but I was way past old republic era, so I'm just reading it because I haven't! And I finished Legacy of the Force.
Might go for Young Jedi Knights next, or Legacy of the Jedi.
Arguably Knowledge is Jedi, Power is Sith. I wouldn't call either Ignorant, although I'd call both Arrogant.
The Jedi shunned the dark side, though. Ignoramuses!
I was reading Jedi Apprentice but I lost it when my computer crashed. However, I THINK I have it on this laptop somewhere too... I remember I couldn't read it here because some of the books were in Word and I couldn't get them to open on here. I should just buy them. Someday.

Date: 2008-07-03 07:27 pm (UTC)So, yeah, knowledge is power.
The more you know, the better prepared you are when life throws you a curve ball.
Ignorance is never bliss. I hate being in the dark on things.
