Blood donation day! My stats, assuming I'm remembering them correctly (not sure about the BP):
Weight: whoops, forgot to weigh myself. Again
Pulse: 77
BP: 110 over 60 -- much higher than it usually is
Temp: 99.5. High! the guy said it was because of the sun blasting on the window there.
Hemoglobin: 11.5 on the first stick, 12.6 on the second. The second stick was fun, the blood was gushing out like crazy. The guy tried to make it squirt but it wouldn't. LOL

I got dizzy again. Should have eaten more than just Dunkin Donuts for breakfast! I could feel it coming on though so I didn't pass out, just needed a cold cloth and water and feet elevated. I'm home now so I can just chill all evening.

This week's [livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive is about phones:

1. Could you live without your phone for 1 week for $500? HA!!! I'd do it for free!

2. Whom do you talk to on the phone the most? Aaron/[livejournal.com profile] aaronisthebest. (I don't know why I keep linking his LJ, he never ever logs into it, the bum)

3. Whom do you no longer talk to on the phone but wish you still did? Um... there are some people I miss seeing in person but I don't really miss the phone. (yes, I know I didn't exactly answer the question. Deal!)

4. If you could get ahold of one celebrity phone number, whose digits would you want? Duh! Oh wait, I better answer that, in case someone reads this not from my f-list :) Hayden Christensen.

5. Do you talk on the phone more or less than you used to? As compared to when? I talked on the phone a lot as a teenager. No internet back then! I remember it was a Big Deal getting a phone in my room. I loved the phone back then.

Very nice that you gave blood :)

1. Could you live without your phone for 1 week for $500?
I probably could. I only use it in emergencies anyway.

OMH! #4. I would so want Hayden's number too!

Nice that I can do it on company time ;) Actually I didn't pay myself for it today, though. I got to leave early, anyway.

I'LL SO SHARE THE # WITH YOU IF I EVER GET IT

Yeah, phones are just so INTRUSIVE. At least on messengers, it's not rude to go afk if you want, or to not respond instantly all the time.

Hee ;)

I know! With my internet connection being speedlimited it took me three days to download the last one so i only watched it yesterday XD. I want to download Terminator (and Dexter & Pushing Daisies & Heroes & Greek...) too but i have been making sure True Blood gets the #1 billing ('cos y'know vampires. And they always have such cliff-hanger endings).

Someone at work already told me a bit of what's gonna happen soon, I guess she saw a summary somewhere or something... I didn't have the heart to tell her to shut up :) What a great show. It sucked when I watched 8 episodes pretty much in a row (over 2 days) and then had to wait a week to see the next one! Hopefully you don't have to wait so long to get this one :)

Hehe, slowly building my collection of TB icons. I don't read much in the comms because I know people have read the books and already know what's gonna happen. Guh. I do like seeing the graphics they post, though!

Mine's usually low -- this is the first time in ages it's been triple digits. I think I was still feeling the caffeine from cup of coffee #2. (it was an early day for me so I had 2 cups instead of my usual 1. though... lately I've been having 1.5-2 cups regularly so I shouldn't act like 1 is my usual, I suppose.)

It really wanted to come out during the fingersticking! I ended up with blood on 3 fingers from that one prick. I licked it off my other fingers like a vampire. YUM. Well, except it was dried by then. Hee.

Pre-Internet days , I remember them - I'm so old. :(
Having a phone in your room was a Big Deal in the US? I can easily believe that because it wasn't something that happened at all in the UK. No such thing as a private phone (well, maybe if your family was insanely rich it might have been an option).

Anyway, if you want something to cheer you up after donating blood, Try watching this. :)

Well, I'm sure lots of kids did, but I didn't for a long time. I used to stretch the phone cord down the hall as far as I could to try to get away from my mom's eavesdropping ears. I never had my own phone LINE -- our house only had the one line, so if someone wanted to use the phone I'd have to get off (but my family is all pretty much anti-phone so that wasn't a problem). Jeez, kids today are spoiled, eh? Everyone's got a cell phone by like age 12.

Aww poor guy! "I don't want to be walking around with an empty arm!" Hehehe.

Thanks for distracting me from dreaded Kitty Litter Duty. Now back to it!

It was easy and didn't require a lot of thought so I liked it. I tend to skip the ones you have to put a lot of thought into!

I just finished the Annual Deep Cleaning of All Things Litterbox-Related. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! I'm free 'til Nov. 2009!

No, I tend to pump it out as fast as I can, then get up, jump on my motorbike and ride home!

Do you know what your time is usually? They don't always mention it to me. It was 7 minutes-something this time (don't remember the seconds) and they say between 5 and 10 minutes is good. I'm just surprised it wasn't faster considering all the spooging my finger was doing. It seems I start out kinda fast and then it slows down when I get dizzy. Guess my body is smarter than I am? hee.

Last time I did it in 4 minutes something, the nurse said I was very quick. I'm always in a hurry though, so the faster I can pump it out the better.

Nah, if I'm in an accident I won't be pumping my hand and thinking of sex to speed up my heart rate!

LOL you think of sex?? I honestly have never once thought of that while playing with the ball they give me to squeeze. Even if the guys doing it are cute :)
