I went to Fresh & Easy yesterday, and to get there I have to drive right by Dr. Hottie's office. It was Friday, not yet 5pm, so chances are he was in there, too. I nearly missed the turn in to the store, thinking about him being there. Why am I such a dork??

I finally took a few pics (at work!) of the splint I got last week that stretches my finger. I just got it adjusted (as it wasn't hurting as much as it used to = yay progress!), so the rubber band part is quite a bit longer than shown here, but other than that it's the same:













I wear it 3 times a day for about an hour at a time. It's only for the pinkie finger but that darn ring finger just will not leave his little buddy alone down there! (apparently it's because of them sharing a tendon) I don't mind wearing it because I can see/feel that it's working, when I go to therapy especially. It's my wrist that's being stubborn.

Mmmmmm, Bud Light Lime. Just when I thought I was falling out of love with beer! (and my beer bottles wear a musical kilt I got in Scotland! Yay!)

And NO I DON'T WANT A KITTEN, SO DON'T ASK ME :|

That splint is so interesting! It's like your pinkie has its own little belt. And my pinkie and ring finger share a tendon, too. XD I can only do the Vulcan salute on one hand.

That's odd, I always thought everybody's fingers were set up that way, I'm sure I read it in a biology textbook in school. It's possible I remembered it wrong though.
It's an interesting looking device, it's probably lucky I haven't got one because I'd keep playing with it.

I think they are to a point, but there's more separation normally. I can't lift either of those fingers independently of the other, but I can on the other hand.

You'd think I would be sick of messing with the hand by now, but I'm always playing with it now that I don't have to worry about "overdoing it"!

No, really! The one thing is a plaque with cards in it and the other is a... well, a flag-type thing. The posters are rolled up behind my door -- we had to take all our "visible crap" down a few years ago cuz a bug crawled up someone's ass. :)

It's not like we have CLIENTS in our office or anything. It's very casual!

Thanks! The color is mauve sparkle, and my right hand doesn't look as good... my nails grew like crazy on that left hand when I wasn't using it. We'll see how long they last now!
