This week's
thefridayfive is all about the 80s:
1) Favourite movie of the 1980s? Back to the Future. The first one. It stands the test of time. Dirty Dancing is a close second.
2) Favourite musician/group of the 1980s? Right now I'm thinking Madonna, but I have her on the brain since I'M GOING TO SEE HER IN CONCERT NEXT WEEK, WOOOOOO! But... there are a lot, really. I fail at picking a single favorite. I liked Wham! and George Michael, Genesis, Bon Jovi, Cyndi Lauper, Bryan Adams, Richard Marx, Bonnie Tyler, Bananarama... I went through obsessive periods with all of those. I've probably forgotten a bunch of favorites, maybe I'll edit them in later if it bugs me.
3) Favourite TV show of the 1980s? I should say my soap opera, Days of Our Lives, because I've never loved it as much as I did in the mid-to-late 80s. Primetime I'll go with Moonlighting.
4) Favourite invention of the 1980s? Were CDs invented in the 80s? I didn't get any until 1995 but the cool kids seemed to have them by the late 80s.
5) World Event from the 1980s that stands out in your mind? Hmmmm. I was quite young and more self-absorbed than I am now. I remember the Challenger explosion hit me pretty hard.

Hey
darthsemicolon! Check this out, but not on a full stomach. >.>
In other news... I can't find my sketchbook! This won't stop me from drawing, but it disturbs me. I know I didn't leave it up in the mountains because I scanned in my pic from last time. I looked EVERYWHERE for 45 minutes last night. It better end up being somewhere completely dumb that was not included in the "everywhere."
And, STAD!: I forgot to turn off my alarm. No big deal as it's set for Phantom Menace and not the annoying beeping, but you'll hear it going off at 5am if you're around so if that bugs you just go un-set it now. The cats will probably be confused. Awwww.
