I went to the baseball game (AZ Dbacks/SF Giants) with my parents last night - it was a game I had picked because my boy, Steve Finley, could possibly play (he's technically The Enemy now, and not even a regular starter anymore, sadly). And whaddaya know, he was in the starting lineup, and hitting leadoff (meaning more atbats) - the baseball Gods were smiling upon me!

Fan-ness: He hit his 300th career homerun, making him only the 6th player to have 300 homeruns and 300 stolen bases. SIX out of thousands of players. And he's not even considered a star. *sigh* He had 3 hits last night. My dad was seriously annoyed at all the cheering I did for him, and says he's not going to any more Giants games with me. Ha!

Fangirlishness: He's getting older but you sure can't tell by looking at him - he still looks mighty fine in that uniform. He keeps himself in excellent shape. I'm glad I brought my binoculars so I could stare at his ass see him closeup. I had my mom doing it too. And we all agreed that he knows when I'm in the park and that's why he performs so well when I'm there.

Why can't he come back to the Dbacks? I miss him. He's been gone almost 2 years. I need to find out where to send him some fanmail - I haven't sent him a thing since Revenge of the Sith came out. Strange coincidence, that.

Booing Barry Bonds is always fun. And dollar hot dog night, yay! Okay I'm just babbling now. Precious few of my f-list care about baseball.

Yeah! Look how excited you can get for a nonbaseball person! *snicker* And they were, you know, ballpark hot dogs. Not generic cheap crap. Made me feel less guilty about blowing $5 on my mocha freeze.

Yeah, ballpark hot dogs are pretty good (although I haven't had one in ages). The prices there are generally disgusting. Granted, I'm kind of disgruntled that all I could ever get was a hot dog and soda, while my dad bought himself all the beer he wanted.

And the beer costs more than the hot dog and soda! I never get beer there. Er, almost never. One time in Cleveland, because I had to pass beer down the aisle to a guy and it made me want one, so A. bought me one. Awww.

Yeah, I do a bit, although I'm not into football that much so don't mind if I miss it. I'm in a score prediction betting thing with a load of family, we've each predicted the scores for the 48 1st round games, £1 per game. So far I have made one correct prediction!
