Catching up on all things LJ, only to possibly get behind again since [livejournal.com profile] azurien is coming to visit me! Wooo! She'll be here in a few hours. Haven't seen her since last May. I didn't even have my laptop back then. Maybe we'll geek out with our laptops and I won't get all behind again. Or maybe we'll actually... you know, DO stuff. I have no idea how long she plans to stay, though, she may just be passing through on her way back from New Orleans. I'm about the worst host ever, I think, as far as showing people the sights. I win at providing clean towels and blankets and stuff, though.

This week's [livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive is... random-y:

1. Would you rather serve in heaven or rule in hell? I could never rule in hell, I'm too wussy. I'd be a good servant. I'll go to heaven.

2. If you had evidence that would catch a killer, but also put you in jail, would you use it? Going to jail would seriously fuck things up - if it was something that would revoke my fingerprint clearance card then I'd lose my job. But... hmmmmmmm, I don't know if I could live with myself letting a killer go free to possibly kill again. "The universe has a way of course-correcting..." maybe they'd get caught anyway? I fail at answering this question.

3. If you could work the worst job you have ever had, for three years and then never have to work again, would you or would you rather work the job you always wanted but not be able to retire until well past the age of retirement? I wouldn't be able to last three years at a job I hated. Tempting though it is to do the time and retire early, I know I simply couldn't do it, if I'm unhappy in a job I need to go find another job before I go insane.

4. If you could write four newspaper headlines, which would come true, what would they be?

First, the unselfish ones:
"No More Homeless Pets, No More Senseless Killing: Every Animal in the World Now Has a Home"
"[livejournal.com profile] strangealchemy Discovers Cure for Cancer"

Then, the purely selfish ones:
"Hayden Christensen Marries Obsessed Fangirl [livejournal.com profile] lumy12
"[livejournal.com profile] lumy12 Wins Powerball: $145 million"

5. A video of children in Florida fighting, while adults cheer on, was posted on the popular web site MySpace, The popularity of "gang videos" has also increased, and there has been renewed interest in re creating the infamous "Faces of Death" video series, do you feel there should be laws limiting extreme videos? Don't know much about these vids, but my first reaction is no. It's not what you watch, it's your reaction to it. And really, stupid people are going to be stupid no matter how you try to prevent them from doing so.

Me neither. Could be a bunch of hooey, since anyone on LJ can suggest these questions, but it sounds plausible... I don't even remember what the "Faces of Death" videos were. Stupid crappy memory!
