YAY WEEKEND
May. 26th, 2007 08:32 amOh, 3-day weekends, how I love thee!
I had a cracktastic dream last night that was a crossover between Party of 5 and Days of Our Lives, with some elements of the awesome Lost season finale thrown in. I won't bore you with details but it felt like I was watching this gripping drama (I'm not even sure who I was in the dream). I love dreams like that.
I was going to post some nostalgic stuff I came across last night but now I'm not so much in the mood - and I think only one person here would truly appreciate it anyhow ^_^
I kinda want to go back and tag all my entries and start using more tags from now on. I also... kinda don't, because that's a lot of work.
No to-do list this weekend! That's not to say I'm not going to do anything icky. (I'm about to go clean out the litterboxes) I have a mental to-do list. Icky stuff gets done first, and the rest is (mostly) FUNNNNN stuff. Yay! No social obligations this weekend, I have it alllllllll to myself! YESSSSSSSS!
Might be seeing PotC3 this weekend if it's not sold out across the street. Might even be able to make a showing before noon (only $5! I have a gift card, but still - gotta go cheap!) I say "across the street" but it's not literally across the street... it's like a 6-minute walk. I will drive there, though, because I also want to go to the Target in that shopping center. I need popcorn and toilet paper. Not going to drag those items into the movie theatre :)
Jordin is all over the media, predictably. It's awesome. The rest of the country has probably moved on by now (except maybe Seattle). I saw a billboard for her the other day too. Yay! I will totally buy every CD she makes. Even if the music is crap. Her voice isn't, and SHE isn't, and I want to support her. No torrenting. Of course, I'd prefer to actually like the music. That first single is... well, kinda shmaltzy. But I like it because I picture her singing it all emotionally and going on to win.
People have criticized her because she's fake. Ha! How so? Throughout the whole season people have been clamoring about this "inner light" she seems to possess. And yes, she's Christian - not sure what denomination... I don't want to get into anything religious here, but having faith can make a person seem that way, in my opinion, based on my own personal experiences. I'm not sure why they think she's fake. She's 17. She has incredible poise for someone so young. It helps that her dad was a football star, I'm sure; she's used to the media a bit already. And come on - aren't we all a bit "fake" at times? We have to be if we are to function in society. Simple as that.
And don't get me started on the whole "she shouldn't be an Idol because she's fat" thing. I don't consider her to be fat and I think it's sad that she's likely going to be persuaded to lose weight now.
Heh. Okay, no more procrastinating... need to quit discussing polyjuice potion with
drusilla_malfoy or I'll never get anything cleaned... *snicker*
