*babble babble babble*
Oct. 3rd, 2007 11:05 amI have things I want to write about, but no time to get said things from head to paper. Er, head to cyberspace. I should have some time in the evenings, but I’ve been so ridiculously tired that doing my usual home stuff takes forever. I keep getting distracted and wanting to nap. I talked to my dad last night, and he scolded me for not getting shots before going overseas. I checked and saw nothing was required so I didn’t bother. Could I have picked up something over there? Who knows. I’m not really SICK-sick, though. Mostly tired. Tired without being at all sleep-deprived. My throat feels better today, at least.
No, I don’t have time to write this at work either, but I’m trying to type a few things here and there in Word sporadically throughout the day. The post office I take our mail to is being stupid, and I think this justifies my wee bit of slacking. Yes, that makes sense.
I was supposed to help out at the other office yesterday, but my boss forgot to tell me. Whoops. I don’t have time to help them, anyway! Usually I likegetting overtime helping out but I have enough on my plate so this time I’m glad that plan fell through. I’m getting overtime just catching up on my own stuff.
Hearing “Hey There Delilah” now makes me sad, but in a good sort of way.
I wonder if Radio 1 can be streamed on the web? My lack of British-accent-hearing is also making me sad. Everyone sounds so AMERICAN here. Go figure. The evil British guy on my soap opera doesn’t count. *spaces out a moment* Mmmmm.
I can’t decide if I should do a good job with the pictures and take forever to post them, or do a shoddy job but get them posted in a more timely fashion. I’ve been too tired to make any progress either way.
I want to icon at least a couple of them, though. I should do that before I post them so I can use the icons in the posting. See how smart I am? Alas, that just means it will take longer.
The kittens outside are growing up so fast. There’s one really friendly one, he keeps trying to come in the house…last night I let him in. He was adorable! He tried to cuddle up to my other kitties. Two were nice and tolerant, but Anakin the Bully had to hiss at him, of course. But NO he is NOT my cat. No no no, I have enough kitties, kthxbai.
All this babbling is not the stuff rattling around in my head, by the way. This is just the superficial update-y kind of stuff. The other stuff will ooze out more slowly. Or disappear, I suppose, if it takes too long. That’s what usually happens. I fail!
Ben & Jerry’s Cinnamon Bun ice-cream is the best flavor EVAR.
I really shouldn’t have been all "Yay order lots of stuff, no payment due ‘til October!" when I wasn’t around to remind peeps that yes, hey, it’s October soon, please save some money from your 9/26 paycheck to pay me with. And the one chick who still owes me $23.87 from February – full of FAIL! I’m so irritated by that, I think I’m more irritated than if she owed me $123.87. It’s such a small amount – I’ve offered for her to just pay like $5 out of each paycheck or something, just so I’m collecting SOMEthing on it, but no, nothing. I remind her every payday, too. I hate nagging but I will do it. Always an excuse. Everyone always has excuses. Really I should be grateful that I don’t have all the emergencies that my customers do. Or SAY they do. (I’m well aware that some of them take advantage.) As long as I get paid I’m a happy camper. I try to have extra money in my account to cover the slackers. If not, I can put it on a credit card. But I shouldn’t HAVE to. When you go buy something at the store, you have to pay for it. If you don’t have the money, you don’t buy it. They just won’t let you walk out of there with it without paying. Why can’t people have the same mentality with me? I should say, though, that most people who promise to pay me on payday really DO come through and pay me without excessive nagging; it’s just a few bad apples that spoil the bunch, or whatever that saying is.
Bleh, I think I’m going to take the non-perfectionist route on catching up at work and only focus on stuff that people complain about. Someday I can go back and clean up things more to my liking, but not now.
"It’s raining!" a coworker just gleefully announced. It’s only sprinkling, though. Still – yay rain!
Baseball playoffs start today, woooooooooo! If you don't know who to root for, root for the Arizona Diamondbacks. No one's picking us to win. Boo! We're the underdogs, everyone loves the little guy, right?
Okay, I’m tired of this sitting here on my computer so I think I’ll shut up now.
Hey, this is long. Should probably cut. NAHHHH. Until one of you whines I'll just leave it as is :)

I was just showing my mom some of the pictures on this laptop (Chris's set). Note to self: Be wary of the Trafford Center pics. (remember where we went? :) I remembered before I got to those ones though so she didn't see anything raunchy.

Date: 2007-10-04 08:33 pm (UTC)Hey I seem to recall Chris saying that you could go by yourself, that he didn't need to come along. That was HIS idea! You could sleep in my bed. *eyebrow waggle* Though apparently I'm the only one who finds it comfortable!
A coworker of my mom's gave her some info on a cafe close to here that does afternoon tea and serves English foods and stuff. I'm totally going to go there and PINE!
