Halloweeny [livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive time!

1) If you're dressing up (yourself or your kids) for Halloween, who are you/they going to be? I'm gonna be Wendy. Hehe, yes, I already am Wendy - but I'm not normally Peter Pan's Wendy! I've been Padme for the past 2 years, and I'm definitely going to be her again in the future, but I like my Wendy costume too.

2) Handmade costumes or store-bought? The two I just mentioned were handmade, but not by me cuz I fail at sewing ANYthing. They are quite nicer than the cheesy ones they have in the store. Though in 1998 I was Rose from Titanic, and that dress was AWESOME. $100 just to rent the darn thing! Sadly, the dress is now gone - the store burned down a few years back.

3) What age did you last go trick-or-treating? Thirteen or fourteen. I think thirteen.

4) Have you ever egged someone's house on Halloween, or done any other such "trick"? Nope, I was all about scoring candy on Halloween. I did, however, participate in the egging of a car around Halloween time (that was a coincidence, though). I remember feeling reeeeeeeeeally bad about it after. But not for the owner of the car (he deserved it) - for the car itself! Yes, I'm strange. I anthropomorphize everything.

5) Do you believe in ghosts? ...maybe? I'm a bit on the fence, really.

Ha ha, your title amuses me. But you prob'ly don't even recall where it's from or who said it, eh? So you prob'ly don't realize how brilliant it is considering the incident here last night.

Incident? The strange girl showing up at 4am you mean? Or something else? Weird.

It's from some movie I haven't seen like... Saving Silverman? Don't know who said it but the way you described the bit was funny enough that the line stuck with me. Hehe.

Also, we HAVE to go to the movies Sunday. We fail!

Yes, Saving Silverman is correct, and it was Jack Black who said it. JB and Steve Zahn are holding Amanda Peet hostage at their house, so they don't want to let the Full Metal Jacket drill sergeant guy (forget his name), their high school football coach just out of prison, inside when he's at the door so they're fumbling with excuses and Jables quickly blurts out "We have ghosts." Heh. The dude persists and asks to at least use the head, so they BS their way through that too, saying their plumbing is broken and Zahn says to just go outside in the yard, so that's what the ex-con does, and JB scolds Zahn about it "Dude you've been pitchin loaves on the lawn?! I play croquet out there!" Ha, it's packed with classic Jack Black-isms so you should watch it just for him, and to a lesser extent, Steve Zahn. And it has Neil Diamond.

Anyway, so now you can see the connection to "the incident" the other night, so pat yourself on the back for being unintentionally brilliant.

So, Into the Wild on Sunday night then? That works for me, especially with no football game on with baseball on instead which I don't give a crap about.

Come on, Rocks Vs. Sox! Ha ha - no, I don't give a crap about them either. No football game? I'm surprised. Sunday EVENING then - it's playing at 6:20 or 6:40 or something at Arrowhead. Only two showings left there. I really don't need to be typing this out cuz you're probably in the other room, though I don't hear you... anyway yeah I'll come wake you up if I don't see you tomorrow earlyish. And I don't know what to do about the other tickets, I guess I should go see something today by myself? Bleh. I was going to give the tickets away to G at work on Friday but I forgot to bring them, and I don't think she'd go during the week.

Also, Aaron said Jin got a DUI. Huh.

Why thankee. I can't even take credit for it. I believe it was [livejournal.com profile] wenchcat's idea, for a Talk Like A Pirate Day party last year. She made the costume too. And all it cost me was materials (cheap!) and a Chinese food dinner!

I heard that about the name too! I don't know, though... sounds kinda hokey to me.
