My baby is sick!

No, not a cat - my laptop. It's been overheating and after it's been on for a little while it totally freezes up. Extremely annoying, not something I feel I can work around. I brought it to the Geek Squad, and they'll have it for the next 2 or 3 days. UNLESS something major is wrong with it. *crosses fingers*

How did I ever survive on this crappy desktop computer alone?

Hopefully they don't end up losing all the stuff I have saved on there. I didn't want to pay $99 for them to back it up >.> Yes, I know, I should have backed stuff up myself, but really there's nothing on there I don't think I can beg certain people to re-send me if I had to. And the fics I have saved on LJ. Photos in photobucket. No biggie. I'd be more concerned about this desktop crashing. Need to figure out how to get the backup to work again.

I think maybe my baby somehow caught a hiccup from sweet_panda's baby or something! The timing of this is uncanny!

In other news - I've taken to calling the kittens something besides numbers. These are not NAMES, though - no, that would make them mine, wouldn't it.

Kitten #1 = Friendly
Kitten #2 = Whiny
Kitten #3 = Scaredy

I haven't seen Scaredy since I think Tuesday, I'm a bit worried about him. And Whiny hurt his paw somehow yesterday but he's using it more today so I won't worry TOO much about him.

No, they're still not my cats :P

If Whiny will let you look at his paw, I would check it for an abscess. Although if he's using it more I would think that it's popped and is draining if it is one, still it would help him, if he does have one, to clean it out (warm water and a little bit of hydrogen peroxide) and wrap it to keep it clean and help it heal.

Or, you know, he may have sprained it, or gods know what else, hard to tell with kittens.

He won't let me touch him, really. I've managed to pet him before but after a second he jerks away. :( I was worried he broke it but today since he's using it I'm hoping it's just a sprain, like you said. Thanks ^_^

This is the first problem I've had in a year and a half. And I don't throw it or drop it or anything! I did use the aircan thingie on it the other day, but I told the guy that and he said that's good, shouldn't have hurt it.

Also, SOME of us don't have computer geek husbands to tinker with things!

Yeah, some of us don't. LIKE ME. He hasn't had to tinker with it. :P There's just nothing gone wrong with it. Actually Chris very rarely touches my laptop at all unless he's checking like a his bank statement really quick and doesn't want to turn on his desktop.

Yep, our internet connection used to suck, but this has been an exceptional laptop. That's why I said Becca should buy one and she's already broken hers. lol

Yeah, just because Becca has anger management issues with HERS doesn't mean we all do! I was just telling her the other day this is the third time she's had to have hers fixed since I've known her (in 2 years) - 2 different computers, too. Odd.

I'm hoping mine just got too much cat hair in it or something.

I love the kitten names! We have a habit of not naming ours until long after they've turned into family... we still haven't named the one Ian brought home in September! LOL

And as for the laptop... I feel inclined to throw mine against the wall and just get a new one... it's having issues as well. That's why I've started using my desktop more often... and why I've determined I need a new desktop! LOL So... sympathy whines ♥

See, I'd call him Anakin if he wasn't so blasted MEAN for the sake of being mean... he terrorizes all of the other cats! We were going to name him TerraMew (after the way the president says Terror) but the general consensus leans toward something demonic. We're bad about not giving our cats real names... the other two are Princess Mew (because she IS a princess. We are her SLAVESsubjects.) and Puma, because he's so massive.

I pity anyone that actually has to go without the Internet... I tried it for a week when I went on vacation and I was LOST! Ian teased me mercilessly, as he only uses the Internet for email between people he can talk to on the phone.

My laptop hasn't had anything majorly wrong with it and I had it for about three years. Well, I did have to get it fixed once because my mother was using it and she decided downloading several viruses was a good idea. >.>
