I think it took me about an hour, some of which was spent fighting with my dumbass desktop computer. My refunds are not as big as I'd hoped, but certainly nothing to complain about. I actually had a loss business-wise (SMALL business, this is just a side thing), if you count a very large write-off I had to do, but I couldn't get the program to show that without raising flags all over the place, and I didn't feel it was worth it sooooooo I'll pretend that didn't happen >.>

I won't be tacky and mention amounts. (is that tacky?) But I will have enough to make my annual extra mortgage payment, pay off the ginormous vet bills (er, after this week they'll be ginormous, anyway), and have approximately $800-$900 leftover. w00t! And I already paid my car insurance for the next 6 months so I don't have to use it for that like I sometimes do. It's an even year so I have to register my car in May, but if I recall last time that barely cost anything cuz my car is getting old.

I kind of want to go back through this journal and tag all my entries, but that seems like a daunting task. Curse my anal-ness! It's hard to find things in here though without that. And I like using the tags feature better than the memories feature. Eh, maybe I've been productive enough for one weekend.

*HUGS* to those of you on my f-list having a horrid weekend. Funny how that seems to come in droves. *HUGS HUGS HUGS AND MORE HUGS*

Yay to the playlist and yay to tax returns! :) I'm still waiting on my T4 (the Canadian version of your W-2), and am getting increasingly antsy, because I'm pretty sure I'll be getting a nice enough return this year. Argggghh, I hate waiting (they don't have to have that shit out until the end of February in Canada).

Awwww. So we're a month earlier than you. Is your filing deadline in May then, I wonder?

And thanks to you I see the Killers have an album that I didn't know about. Must remedy this!

Filing deadline is in April. They don't give us oodles of time, I guess. :)

Ours is April too. I guess we Americans are dumber and need the extra time. HA!

Srsly - this gal at work files for an extension EVERY YEAR because she's just too lazy to do it on time. She even admits that's the reason. And she gets money back too. WTF? Hello? But I "yell" at her and she laughs and says I'm right but still doesn't change her ways. There is apparently no late filing fee if the government owes YOU money, not the other way around :)

WTF? I could sorta understand delaying if you knew that you were gonna end up owing. But sweet Jesus, if I know I'm getting a return, I WANT MY MONEY NOWNOWNOW!

Some people...

Exactly! And she always has money woes too. I really love her, she's a great person, but... methinks there's a reason she has money woes! Heheh.

I'm dreading filing my taxes this year. I should get a nice Federal refund, especially now with the mortgage to take into consideration, but I am DREADING doing my Connecticut taxes. Because I work in New York, my payroll deductions don't include CT, so I'm going to end up paying them, I know it. Next year I'm going to have to pay quarterly taxes to CT I think.

I don't get my taxes done until March 3rd, so I'm still waiting to find out how it all plays out!

Oh, the two-state thing sounds icky, yeah. As long as you have plenty of federal refund to pay the state though it shouldn't be so bad :)

Taxes sigh. I hate to think about how much tax I pay (It's about 33% - if you include National Insurance). Luckily, I do "Pay as you earn" through work so I don't really have to think about it, just whine when I see my paycheck.

Anyway, tagging. What I'd suggest, just do from 2008 onwards. Or at least pick a date to go back to, otherwise you'll be going for ages.

Finally got around to going to Chester today... You didn't miss much.

I don't even look at how much taxes come out of my paychecks - too depressing!

Yeah, 2008 would be easy. And then maybe just work on a month at a time 'til whenever I get done... I feel like if I start it, I have to finish it, even if it takes forever.

Ah, Chester! Where I got to use my umbrella!

Define horrid weekend.
For me, it was hearing the words "I don't think I want to be together anymore". Yeah.

O.o Ugh, I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope you guys work that out.
