She must not have worn any bottoms because if she was actually getting off the toilet, the skin wouldn't have grown around it like that. How did she SLEEP like that, though? So many questions.

They MUST have had another bathroom. Or maybe he went in the shower. (that's not so bad if it's #1, but... ewwwwww if it's #2!) I'm guessing there were no guests... unless they too were kinda crazy?

Supposedly she bathed while on the toilet. Somehow. O.o I don't know, she couldn't have been the cleanest if she didn't get up.

Wouldn't her muscles have completely wasted away, I wonder?

And my god at the boyfriend! Why didn't he just find a therapist and get her a phone session or whatever? That's really the least he could have done instead of just what he did aka nothing.

Exactly. I wonder if he brought her a TV or a radio, and books and stuff. And for her skin to grow around the seat - she must not have even been MOVING.

And he says they had a normal relationship except it all took place in the bathroom - yeah right, whatever, dude! You're just as whacked as she is!

What the holy hell??? I mean, how can that even be remotely perceived as normal behaviour? How can the guy's family not have said at one point, "She needs help, if you love her you'll get her some!" I understand her being disturbed, but ... WOW some people are oblivious.

Yeah. Neither one of them could have been very close to anyone in their families, unless both families are ALL messed up. I hadn't even thought of that. I'm assuming the guy was keeping this a secret from pretty much everyone, otherwise someone with any sense in their head would have intervened!

Awwww. One of my coworkers just moved back to Kansas in December. She was fairly sane, I think. Except for having poor judgment skillz re: men.

It was IN the normal news! It was on the back page of the main section of the Arizona Republic. And from the comments here I see this story is getting media attention world-wide :P

Aaron called me this morning and mentioned it, he heard it on the radio while driving through Texas... he thought I wasn't going to believe him but I'd already read it. Ha!

It's sad, though, she apparently was an abused child... how much you wanna bet she was abused by the boyfriend as well? I mean, COME ON. Two years without getting her any help? He must have wanted her in there. Like a caged animal. Ick.

A little more light shed on it today: she had sores from where her legs were on the toilet, so that's why her skin started growing around the seat, as it was healing. I guess it was only the past month that she wouldn't get off the toilet, she moved around before that. Still - SO BIZARRE. And that boyfriend needs to be locked up somewhere because he's not right in the head either.
