Miles to go before I sleep

The Friday Five is too thinky for me again (I know, I'm lazy) so I'm skipping it and just posting a To Do List Of Doom instead!

To Do List for Fri. 4/4 - Mon. 4/7/08
-Target I rescued 2 (different) Anakins, and a new Padme for my bro!
-2 "Sat. morning" chores
-laundry
-toilet(s?)
-Coffee Table Of Doom (though it's not THAT bad this time)
-figure out extra mortgage payment
-water plants
-pester bro to mow lawn (w/bribe!)
-water grass Mon. if bro mows lawn; if not, mow lawn and make him feel guilty for blowing it off Him? Guilty? Ha! He doesn't care that I was out there sneezing my head off with junk dripping down my throat and out my nose! He doesn't suffer from allergies, yet does he jump at the chance to spare his sister the agony? No! What a brat!
-half-ass weeding job (it was 3/4 ass, though, at least!!)
-play with flower bed!
-one bedroom thing
-bubble bath I finished my book, yay!
-one ep Po5
-nails
-TM
-spend at least 2 hours doing Hayden (*snicker* I wish I meant the man but I'm referring to updating my iPod, lolz)
-play Battlefront or Sith
-exercise
-shoe swapping
-clothes moving
-upload thing for K
-find JA icon for Kev
-organize (other) JA on desktop (archive in LJ?)
-secure the window thing the cats keep messing with
-clean kitty fountain
-fix clogged-ish sink
-catch up on ancient emails

Subject to additions. I will have a productive weekend, dangit!

And holy crap, yo - my spam post is over 400 comments now, and still going! Some of you are insane! (that's a compliment ^_^)

“You don’t even miss me when I’m gone, do you?” Anakin asked forlornly.

“Of course I do, Anakin. I love you. How can you even doubt that?” Palpatine sighed with infinite patience. He was used to his young lover’s constant need for reassurance. He snuggled more intimately against Anakin’s muscular young body, reveling in the sexuality that the boy exuded.

“You never contact me when I’m on a mission.” Anakin knew he was being unreasonable, but he didn’t care.

“I’m the Chancellor, Anakin.”

“Exactly my point!” Anakin cried, turning his intense gaze on his lover. “You’re the Chancellor, you can do whatever you want.”

Palpatine just chuckled at the naivete behind that believe. “I wish that were true, love, but my actions are under constant scrutiny. We’ve discussed this; we must conduct our relationship with some discretion.”

Anakin sniffed and rolled onto his side, giving his back to the older man. “That just means you don’t love me enough to take the risk.”

Palpatine grit his teeth at the overly emotional response, “What would you have me do then to prove that I love you when you are away on missions?”

Anakin, his back still a solid wall between them replied, “See? You don’t even listen to me. I told you I wanted to hear from you when I’m away on a mission.” Even Anakin was a bit surprised at how whiny he sounded, but his feelings were hurt. He figured being whiny was allowed under such circumstances.

Rolling onto his side, Palpatine spooned himself against Anakin’s broad back, wrapping an arm about the boy’s lean torso.

“If it will make you happy, I promise to get a message to you every day.”

Anakin peeked over his shoulder, “Every day?”

“Every day. If you need constant comments to prove I love you, you will get constant comments.”

Anakin rolled over, pulling the slighter man into a tight embrace. “You don’t have to, just knowing you would is enough,” he said.

Rolling his eyes at the unpredictable nature of his lover, Palpatine curled up sleepily, using Anakin’s shoulder as a pillow. Just before falling asleep, he made a mental note to make sure his assistant sent some inane message to Anakin every day.

It was a small thing to do to keep the boy happy.

Drabble of Doom!

This is rapidly written and unbeta'd. I'm not even sure it makes sense. >.> Words: 230

Anakin is their golden boy. He is the "chosen one". The one everyone wants to be and the one everyone wants just because.It amused the chancellor how few people knew of the true young man. Rumors and stories running amok, Palpatine knew the whiny boy he pretends not to be. Anakin brought a new look on things in his unique and youthful way. A view the chancellor had almost forgotten he once shared with the boy.

Even with all those things and more, Anakin is just another young man. A young man whom made even a powerful man such as the chancellor wishing that he was an artist. A person capable of drawing his image of the subject before him. Alas, even Chancellor Palpatine has limits. It disappointed him greatly but he wondered if anyone can capture this image in the way it deserves.

Before the chancellor was the young hero himself sleeping in the chancellor’s bed in his usual night wear: nothing at all. The ripple of every muscle as Anakin toss and turned in the bed was a magnificent view. The way the sheets cling to Anakin’s nude form like a second skin was breath-taking. The stuff animal clutched in Anakin’s hand so adorable the chancellor could barely hold back a laugh.

For this is the true Anakin no one, not even Obi-Wan, would ever see.
