This is so brilliant and I can't believe I didn't think of it myself or come across it in fandom before. Joseph Tavano explains Padmé's death in a way that makes waaaay more sense than dying "of a broken heart." And the proof is all in the movie!

At least I still have this journal to record such things for posterity (as long as the article remains online!). The most I've done by way of starting to write fic again is a) continue to very slowly tag my old stuff and hope to get inspired, and b) ponder ideas when I can't sleep, which puts me to sleep before anything concrete develops. I've lost my mojo. But I'm enjoying Rebels and still plan to give TCW another shot and in general have more interest in the galaxy far far away now than the last few years, so yay.

I do miss fandom... but not enough to try to immerse myself in it in foreign lands such as tumblr and Instagram and wherever else it may have migrated to. I recognize it as nostalgia. Sigh.

I very much like this theory and it makes a lot of sense. I also like the part about Palpatine being at the height of his power but not being omnipotent because otherwise he would have known the children survived. And I think the OT makes it clear he doesn't know about Leia and even Luke's existence was news to him.

I'm so glad you like it too! It does make a lot of sense and doesn't it seem totally obvious now? I watched the movie a million times and for some reason never thought along those lines. Agreed about the twins. I wonder if it would have been different if either of them had been on Coruscant.

I still love LJ and miss it but can't really post here anymore >.> Unless something personal changes but so far it hasn't changed in 2 years, so. I post on this "fandom" account once in a blue moon. I still love jedi_news so that's mainly why I'm on here. Anyway, I will look for an update from you soon since you mentioned you'll be doing one! W00t w00t!
