lumy12I haven’t done any sort of “real” update for a while, have I. I’m actually in the mood to babble now. Too bad there’s nothing exciting to say. I’ll type this out in Word and hop online real quick to post later. (hahaha, not like I haven’t been getting online at work like mad lately. For shame!) I wonder if the bullet points will copy over. I don’t know how to make those in html.
In no particular order:
• I really do need to curb the getting-online-at-work habit. We haven’t gotten in trouble for it in months, and I think all that collective scolding was really for the benefit of one main person – and she was fired in July. But still, I did sign something saying I wouldn’t get online at work so I feel guilty. I need to go back to writing fic in my downtime instead! Heh. My little “girlfriend” in another office just got written up yesterday for internet usage. That surprised me – she thinks her supervisor hates her and I’m starting to wonder myself. Supposedly everyone in that office gets online all the time but she’s the only one who’s gotten in trouble for it. Of course, she is 19, and thus, prone to being overly dramatic about things.
Of course, one good thing to conclude from that – if my internet slacking is truly a problem, I suspect I would get written up first rather than fired. I’ve been here 8 years, and she’s only been here about 8 months. And my boss already knows I “check my email sometimes” and doesn’t care – she does the same thing.

plutoix) It’s so much fun! It’s so nice to have an outlet again for the character that refused to shut up in my head. Hee. I’ve met some awesome people and they love my character (even though their characters, for the most part, don’t like him!) and I love theirs and it’s like this big ol’ lovefest with no wank. I suppose wank is inevitable but for now it’s all good. I’m playing more than I thought I would when I applied.
• OMG it might rain today! It’s all cloudy and gray outside! It just rained a couple weeks ago and now it already might rain AGAIN. I’ll get spoiled! My throat’s starting to bother me again and it was FINE after it rained last time and cleared the gunk out of the air. I keep thinking I’m about to get sick but it ends up just being a perpetual sore throat. COME ON, RAIN!
• I’ve only seen the UPS guy a couple times since I last wrote about him. And last time I was tired (like, wearing-my-glasses tired!) and was having a bad hair day. No, actually, a horrible hair day. I’ll be on the lookout for him today since he’ll be bringing me 2 boxes and I like to catch him before he dumps them on the floor in the lobby. Why am I even mentioning him? I don’t like him like that. I just think he’s cute and it’s nice to have someone to flirt with.
• My sorry-ass fence has been given new life! I met the brother of the new person who lives behind me. He came over recently to fetch his sister’s tree limbs that had fallen into my yard when he was cutting them. Nice guy. I saw him sorta fixing the fence the other day, leaning over from their side, nailing panels in place. I had given up on that because they never ever stay but maybe I was DOIN IT RONG. And it seemed more practical to lean the panels against the fence as support so it wasn’t leaning way over on my side… but it’s not so bad, how he rigged it. I still plan on getting a wall up “soon”ish… heh, yeah, just like I plan on doing that expensive surgery “soon”ish. We’ll see what next year brings.
• It’s almost Thanksgiving. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. I’m going to try to convince Aaron he wants to come over to my mom’s with me and my brother. The fact that my brother can go (he doesn’t have to work ‘til later that night) should be a big draw – the two of them can watch football together and stuff. Ewww football.
• Remember my emo post a few months ago where I ended up saying I had some ideas on how to feel better? (No? That’s okay don’t go looking for it XD) I think some of them worked. I’ve been happy lately, for the most part. Even though I’m not away from the computer as much as I probably should be. Still working on that!
• I made friends with a new cat last week, but I haven’t seen her since! I think it was a “her.” She almost came inside but Anakin was guarding the door and she wanted no part of him. LOL poor thing. I…think I might need to join a Crazy Cat Lady support group or something.
