Did I say it worked? Well, I lied - it seems the virus was lulling me into a false sense of security! Now nothing works. NOTHING. Even my fucking wallpaper has been replaced with YOU HAVE A VIRUS - no shit! Thanks for telling me!

LJ was fine until I clicked on a cut. Then suddenly I "didn't have access" to anything. Various virus scans I tried to do also failed because I don't have access to anything on my own fucking computer.

So what do I do? Hop on the desktop to bitch about it when I should be getting ready for work. And since LJ is blocked at work, it's not like I can even respond to any comments I get here in a timely manner, so why do I? To spare gizzi1213 the bitchfest, maybe? Yeah, spread the love...er, bitchiness...

I obviously need to figure out how to back everything up so it's not such a huge hassle to do a "restore" (assuming I can figure out how to do THAT even) - too late for my laptop, but for next time... I feel like I'm missing some essential skill here. I got my external hard drive to work, once, but when it filled up it stopped working and I don't even know how to go through what's on it and delete stuff, because I can't PULL ANYTHING UP OFF OF IT TO CHECK.

I'm all for the reading actual books thing, but that snail-mail and pictionary thing doesn't do it for me. I never was very good a pictionary, requires talent to draw. I have NONE!

I would think you'd go for the snail mail thing. I mean, think about it, it would certainly stop a lot of irate parents from complaining if they had to put pen to paper, which takes longer, than if they could vent their ire by sending an email!!!!
