I know it's insane but I'm still reeling after the Lost finale. Two days later. I'm having obsessive thoughts and yet I'm avoiding reading stuff about it (I'm sure I'll go back and look at your reviews later)... only skimming my f-list, cuz seeing the Lost stuff popping up is making me NOT want to be on LJ at all right now. Wtf, self???

I'm so weird.

I think part of it is that I had a very personal overreaction to one story in particular.

I barely slept after watching the finale, I kept hearing the music and replaying things in my head... even after I'd doze off, I'd wake up still hearing & replaying. I want another hot Sawyer dream, damnit. Must re-watch! I was going to last night but practicality (and a nap) won out, and tonight was too busy... tomorrow night will also be too busy... it will have to be Thursday night then since I'm babysitting Friday and then I'm off to the mountains for the nice long weekend. Somehow I think re-watching will cure my strange aversion.

My masochistic e-stalking has died down considerably ("hi my name is Wendy and it's been 3 days since I last stalked"), but even so, I'm thinking this summer it will be even better for me than usual to get away once a month, get some nice crisp mountain air in my lungs and be far far away from a computer screen. Er... from the internet, at least (I'll be taking the laptop!).

I'll be a better LJ friend next week, I promise!

A friend of mine said she was going to devote 3 hours to voting, with 2 phones. That's a lot of votes! I would have only voted a dozen or so times if I'd remembered. I blame Glee. Before I started watching that show I always voted right after!

And it was "Glee goes Ga-Ga" week... not exactly my cup of tea. If they had done "Paparazzi" I would have been happier with the episode! (that's the only Lady GaGa song I like. How could I NOT like it, it's all stalkery!)

The 5-year-old singing Adam Lambert's "Whataya Want From Me" was amazing too...though I forgot his name! Bad Wendy! But he did a copycat performance (he was SPOT ON though! Great voice, better than most adults!), and this Greyson kid did his own interpretation. A true artist! If American Idol's still going in 4 years he needs to audition :)

Part of it is because I simply haven't been on Facebook... which I think I'll stay away from 'til next week too.

A few days ago I started following the Boy's EX-girlfriend on Twitter. I'm not sure why (well, other than the fact that it got tiring looking her up individually all the time, but why did I even want to do that????).

I have to admit, I've not been all that picky about who I add. But then, I don't have my phone # or address on there either. Heck I barely even post. Maybe I'll come up with some long profound thing to do a "note" for and then post it so that no one sees it unless they go looking.

I'm following on TWITTER, and I haven't actually said anything to her on there yet. Maybe I won't. I'm a lurker! It would be creepy to add her on Facebook (she'd have to confirm it, AND FB would let everyone know, so HE would know, and he doesn't need to!).

I hid him from my news feed (which is like the f-list) so I don't see what he posts unless I go look him up individually - and I was doing that so often that I may as well not have bothered hiding him! But now I have less of an urge to do that.

And I missed his show last week since I was at K's... I'd be missing it again except I already know he's going out of town on Thursday so there won't be a show this week.

See? Less opportunity for me to stalk anyway!

Awwww, I'm sorry, Schnookums, if my commenting on that review I had read upset up. I was only curious to know what had happened, since I'd expected to see comments on my f-list. Did you get a chance to talk over the final with your brother yet?

I think getting away from the internet once in a while is a good idea. I think I need to do that myself some this summer, before I get sucked into the black hole that is ancestry.com and I am not seen again!!

Anyway, even if you can't find the time to rewatch Lost until tomorrow night as least you have something to look forward to tonight...it's Chinese food night!

Oh it's not your fault Schnookums! I was prepared for such things! I'm glad the one person in the office who USED to watch it and stopped a few years ago, didn't have anything to say (probably didn't watch the finale - I wasn't about to bring it up by asking!). We talked some but I wrote more in my journal (the paper one!) so I got that out of my system. Heh. I went over Monday night and watched the Jimmy Kimmel show he'd recorded that had a lot of the cast on it, that was cool.

I can get away from the internet and still do genealogy! One of the great things about this hobby. I don't think I mentioned that I spontaneously decided to go up to Valatie, NY on Saturday to get better pictures of a couple of tombstones. I brought along supplies to clean them this time. They came out looking good, if I do say so myself. AND, it got me out into some fresh air!!

Oh, I KNOW!!! They are all over the place here to. I believe I've heard estimates that our deer herd in this area is over 1 million strong.

Oh, we have predators, just not as many as you might have where you are. We do have beer and coyotes and even the occasional bobcat, although I'm not sure they'd be large enough to bring down an adult deer. We also have a hunting season, of course.

ok, so I'M NOT ALONE. i have had the music from the finale stuck in my head too, especially from the closing scenes. i've felt melancholy and emotionally drained. today has been the first day since sunday night that i've felt better. i also couldn't sleep after the finale. i was up until after 2:30.
we may be freaks, but lets be freaks together. live together die alone.
