Adam Lambert IS coming to Arizona on the Glamnation tour!!!

Too bad the cheapest tickets available are $193. WTF. I love Adam and I know he puts on a spectacular show but that's hella expensive for a couple hours' entertainment. Plus it's general admission, which means I'd have to camp out all day if not all weekend (it's on a Sunday...in August, blech) to get a really good seat/spot.

*sigh* Forgive me, Adam, but I'll just have to wave at you from my house about 30 miles away.

In other celeb news, Hayden Christensen and Rachel Bilson are "taking a break." Maybe now's the time to up my stalking strategic placement...

Hurray, there's hope for me! Golly, what a shame. I have noticed in Rachel's recent paparazzi photos that she's not wearing the engagement ring and he didn't take her on a recent junket trip to Brazil. So I suspected trouble in paradise.

I suppose they could get back together, but if you have to "take a break" from each other when you're supposed to be in the throes of true love and planning your wedding, it's more than likely because the relationship has run its course or there's a big external problem. I don't know them and I'm no Dr. Phil but I've also been on this Earth long enough to figure out human behavior.

Celebrity breakups don't shock me anymore, no matter who it is or how long they've been together, so I'm not sure why this one surprised me even a little bit. Your assessment sounds fair. At least they broke things off before the messiness of divorce came into play!

I'm not sure how much of that is the venue taking advantage of his popularity (and this date was added later, so they probably noticed the early dates were selling out?)... or maybe his agent, or publicist, or whatever the heck musicians use. I like to think it's not Adam gouging people; he's always come across as fan-friendly (which I'm sure only makes him MORE popular). And there IS the fact that it's a really "over the top" sort of show. Not to make excuses for him but... well, I guess I'm making excuses, aren't I :D I'm just speculating.

$193? That is expensive! Even a Grammy-winning country-pop singer who sells out concert tickets in 2 minutes doesn't charge that much for general admission. (She's the only person I know ticket price of so I really shouldn't be talking)

Yeah. WAY expensive. Though Taylor probably doesn't put on a glitzy glammy over the top crazy show like Adam either. I wonder if the smaller venue has anything to do with it... earlier shows had normal ticket prices around $50! (possibly not all those were GA though?)

I heard a random comment on the radio about your girl... that she's stayed FIFTEEN HOURS after the end of a concert to sign autographs for all 10,000 people who wanted one. Dang, doesn't the girl need to sleep?! That's really cool of her to do!

XD Well, I'm not sure how glitzy glammy Adam's show is so I can't really compare.

It was a meet and greet for the CMA music fest in Nashville. It was supposed to be for a few hours (she promised to stay at least 13 hours if she could). Most people didn't think she would actually pull a 13 hour meet and greet and still make a performance in that time (4 hours M&G, performance, lunch, 9 hours M&G). Apparently, she made it for 15 hours when her mom pulled her away since it was passed her bedtime. Otherwise, she might have stayed and forgotten that little thing called sleep. XD

Of course you know all the details! LOL! Okay, that's not quite as impressive as the radio made it sound. "Meet and Greet" implies that you, you know, MEET people and actually TALK to them. They made it sound like she just decided to stick around on her own after a concert, which I assumed was at night since pretty much most of them are (unless they're on the weekend I guess). Still, that is extremely cool of her, and the fact that her mom had to drag her away is awesome.

This of course begs the question of why YOU didn't fly out there to meet and greet and molest her?

It was Sunday and performance was around 1 pm on June 13. Considering most meet and greets for most singers is an hour or less, a 15 hour meet and greet was very massive.

;o; I had more family obligations at that time. I tried to convince Jess to go for me since it was near where she lived but her mom was sick. It was a free performance too so all I had to do was pay for air travel and probably a rental car to get to the arena.

I've been signing some of my emails at work as "Wendy Lambert." Only because the other person started the trend with her own Idol lust objects (she opted for a hyphenated last name to split her loyalties!). The first time I did it she had to write back laughing because I have waaaaaay less chance than she does of being Mrs. Lust Object, obviously.
