This week's thefridayfive is about Disney, yay:

1. Have you ever dressed up as a Disney character? Yeah! wenchcat made me a Wendy costume!

2. What was your favorite Disney movie growing up? Growing up? I honestly don't remember. Maybe "Cinderella." But for nearly 20 years now it's been "Beauty and the Beast."

3. Which Disney character can you relate to the most? I'll say Belle, because of her bookwormy nature, and for everyone thinking she's odd because she doesn't follow their rules. She's definitely more adventuresome than I am, though.

4. Have you ever been to a Disney theme park? Disneyland, a handful of times. Haven't been since 2000, though.

5. When does someone become "too old" for Disney? Never!!! (come on, is there any other way to answer this question?)

I don't know, that's why I'm trying to remember. I know Disney doesn't produce just things like "Beauty and the Beast" anymore. I think it might have been "Cars" as the last Disney movie I saw. I'm not a big movie goer in the first place, and most Disney fare isn't my first choice in viewing. Not enough car chases and explosions for me!

Aww I love Disney. It was a goal to collect each and every single animated Disney film on video back when I got my first job, but that never happened. : / I DID, however, get some of my favorites (my favorite when I was young: The Jungle Book...and then Aladdin came along. : ) I love your reasoning for why Belle is the Disney character most like you, by the way, and of course you're never too old for Disney!

Awesome Aladdin icon! I had a similar thought about collecting all the videos... I only have 6 or 7 though. And most of them don't play right anymore. Sheesh, I have old TDK stuff I taped off the TV that plays better than those fancy-packaged Disney tapes, what's up with that, Disney?!

Thanks! Your icon's not too shabby either. ; ) Yeah, that's about how many I have. All three Aladdin films and Jungle Book on VHS, Atlantis, Mulan and Emperor's New Groove on DVD...oh and Cool Runnings on VHS (I know it's not animated, but it is Disney and it's awesome)...and it seems like I might be missing one or two. YES! Haha my mom and I used to tape movies, animated OR live action, off the TV back when I was a kid and The Magical World of Disney was on every Sunday night from 7 to 9pm. Aaah, those were the days.

I'm not so into the non-animated stuff (except for PotC!) I remember hearing about Magical World of Disney but I don't remember ever watching it... weird.

I'm not so into the non-animated stuff either, but there are some classics among them and Cool Runnings is one of those. It wasn't until years after it came out that I discovered it. I was never interested in it, but my parents were watching it on TV and I ended up getting sucked in. Ever seen it? And PotC is awesome. Looking forward to the new one, even though it sounds like it's not going to be the same. I was just a little kid when Magical World of Disney was on and I loved it -- sometimes animated stuff, sometimes not.

I don't believe I have, though I may just not remember it? (I seem to have a poor memory for movies if I've only seen them once) And yeah, PotC4 should be fun! I heard Johnny Depp took a break from filming it to go visit the school of a little girl who sent fanmail to Jack Sparrow. D'aww!
